'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

Not disagreeing with what you said, but he still doesn't fit our system.

disagree that who doesn't fit the system? I think both of these guys have a chance to be good in this system. Obviously and honestly, I hope that is JJ, but if Dormady wins the battle I will support and cheer just the same. CBJ has had QB's of all types to "fit" his system. I think JJ can be dynamic from an athletic and leadership standpoint. Plus his throwing mechanics and technique has gotten sooo much better over this last year and will continue to get better and has a chance to be the total package at the QB package. I think QD has a chance to be kind of a Dan Lefevour type QB in Butch's system and they appear to have similar skill sets.

This is going to be a fun battle to watch over the next couple years.

JJ is hoping to room with Jack Jones next year. He is just starting to see his potential. He has an extremely high ceiling and is smart too.

Watch the growth through spring practice into the summer.

I realize I risk bumping this thread and bringing the crazy talk that is going on in about 19 different threads into here, but can we just leave that to the other threads.

I was wondering if Hubbs, Fort, or anybody else posted any updates on how the visits went this weekend. I know that Tuttle and Jones got a little air time during the bball game sitting next to CBJ. Any updates on Jauan's visit?

The only thing that Callahan said today was that Jennings visit was good and the Vols have "no interesting in parting ways" with JJ.

Talked to his mom today. Said the visit went very well. Working his butt off to graduate early.

This kid is smart (AP classes) and has a great work ethic.

I hole-hardedly agree, but allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go. Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it’s a peach of cake.

"The Top247 senior quarterback from Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., said his official visit to Tennessee over the weekend turned out to be “an unbelievable experience,” and he’s more excited than ever about joining the Vols next month as an early enrollee.

“It went great. I had a tremendous time, and just being able to spend it with my family just made it even better,” said Jennings, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 173 overall prospect and No. 7 dual-threat quarterback in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class. “(My parents) had both been up there (before), but it’s nothing like an official.

While he once was rated by 247Sports as an athlete and some recruiting analysts once expected him to play safety in college, he said it’s “pretty set in stone” that he will play quarterback for the Vols once he arrives on campus next month.

“We’ve only talked about quarterback,” Jennings said. “We took pictures when we were in the locker room, and they had the jerseys and they had the gloves and just everything in there. And I refused to put them gloves on because I’m a quarterback. There’s just no other way around it. I see myself as a quarterback. I am a quarterback.

“I can’t wait to get up there.”

-247

Another funny tidbit he shared was when Jack Jones broke CBJ's movie theater chair. He said coach shouldn't be mad... "Not at that salary." Lol.

Once the poster went with "doubles advodate" I was sold.

That said... SAFETY

Edit: I hope EVERYONE brings this up while JJ lead us to a championship as a QB (I hope he does)

It took me until "doggy dog" guess I'm a little slow. Lol. Great job MEDVOL!
Freak could undoubtedly, with very little doubt, write a book called "Sh1t VolNation says," and make millions. But that's just my two sense.

On topic. With the improvements JJ made this year at QB, I see no reason why he couldn't lead us to a championship. Deon Grant and Dwayne Goodrich did in '98. Jk

This is the best post I have ever read on Volnation!

The only thing that Callahan said today was that Jennings visit was good and the Vols have "no interesting in parting ways" with JJ.

So QD is about to start bowl practice, JJ is taking night classes to graduate early so he can compete at QB, and SJ is shopping us pretty hard.

Guys, I'll go on record here and now and say one of those guys is going to win us an SEC championship. That's some pretty intense competitive makeups these boys have. PUMPED so see the spring with QD, JJ, and Dobbs.

Peterman would be great at UTC.

JJ is taking online classes. He starts as soon as he gets home from school. Weekends are devoted to school as well.

He is a hard worker. The perfect attitude you want in a football player.
