He has continued to add offers during the ongoing spring evaluation period, and he said he’s still hoping offers from Alabama, Florida State and Ohio State.

“(I like) Alabama for their engineering program,” McMillon said. “I’m currently going down there July 7-12 for their engineering program. They have a great engineering program that I would like to go check out. Florida State has a very good football program, and Ohio State, also — big-time, championships.”

“I visited Ole Miss about a month ago,” McMillon said. “Then, I visited Memphis, and I have been to Vanderbilt’s campus on several occasions. I’ve been down to Alabama, also.”

“Their aerospace-engineering and nuclear-engineering program, I’m currently trying to go up there for that,” he said of Air Force. “Like my dad always says, grades come first, then athletics. If I can stay with grades and keep my head on straight, then football can even everything out.”

“Knoxville has a very good engineering program,” McMillon said. “I’ve checked into it. They have a good engineering program. I like the surroundings. I had went up for a conference — leadership conference — and we took a tour of the campus, and I liked the environment that I was in there.”

“(I want) a place that’s a home away from home, (where) I can get along with my coaches — the coaching staff is pretty great, and we get along well and they can coach me up, teach me (to be) the best of the best,” he said. “That will also help me out with my decision.”

Many of Memphis' top prospects are currently on a tour of SEC schools that took them to Alabama and Auburn on Tuesday. It will take them to Georgia and Tennessee on Wednesday. Then on Wednesday night they get back in the car and head up to Lexington, so they can visit Kentucky and Vanderbilt on Thursday.

“Alabama, then Mississippi State. (Tennessee) is my number three, then Auburn, then Vanderbilt,” he said Wednesday night before his scheduled visits to Kentucky and Vanderbilt on Thursday.

“Everything was fantastic (at Tennessee),” he said. “It’s the kind of place you call home. You go in and you fall in love with the place. (I liked) the stadium. The stadium’s pretty big — fitting 102,000 people — and then you go in the locker room, and the locker room’s gorgeous, and the new facility, also.”

“They said, ‘We’d love to have you down here,’” McMillon said. “Coach Thigpen was telling me about the positions that I could play. They’d have me at the Will or middle linebacker. Coach Jones, he would love to have me. He liked my film, and he likes how aggressive I play. It would a great fit for me down there at UT-Knox.

“They were saying, me having a 4-point GPA, I could line the guys up, be a team captain and set up the whole defense. I’d pretty much be the guy setting everyone up, and they need that from me.”

Sounds like the Vols have a lot of ground to make up. He seems to really like Alabama.

That's the highest 3* rating on 247. It's not that bad to generically place him at that rating since he's 2015 and he doesn't have a ton of camp exposure. His offer list is definitely better than the rating, but it's not that bad. There are worse.

That's really cool except you completely ignored the second half of my question in regards to what's ours and his interest in one another. Thanks for jumping to conclusions though.
