I love the classic response when UT lands a good recruit: "Hope he enjoys missing bowl games."
Yes, because it's not like we made a bowl game for the first time in four years with half our starting roster composed of freshmen recruited exclusively by Butch Jones.
Top-100 offensive tackle Drew Richmond of Memphis (Tenn.) University School decommitted from Ole Miss on Monday night, source told 247Sports' Ryan Bartow and David Johnson.
The same sources told 247Sports that the 6-foot-5, 310-pound Richmond now is expected to sign with Tennessee on Wednesday.
Richmond had been committed to the Rebels since September but spent the final weekend before National Signing Day visiting the Vols. He has been one of Tennessee's top targets in the 2015 class for almost two years.
He's ranked the nation's No. 55 overall prospect and No. 3 offensive tackle and the No. 2 player from the state of Tennessee in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class.
On the Ole Miss boards we are being called Racist Rednecks by some.
LMAO you can't make this crap up.
First off, we are aware of what the Ole Miss site is reporting, that Drew Richmond has decommitted from Ole Miss according to sources close to his recruitment. But, we, nor the Ole Miss site as I understand, don't have any confirmation from Drew or anyone in his camp at this time.
We do that that Drew has stayed in contact with Tennessee throughout the day and there is still optimism heading into the final 36 hours or so before Drew signs. Obviously, we have reached out to Drew for any comment but have received none.
Again, we believe that Tennessee had a ton of momentum after his visit and it was going to come down to what happened between Sunday night and Wednesday morning. We will keep digging as we always do.
