'15 TN TE Jackson Harris

Jackson was the MVP TE at the Opening. Very impressive. He really shined playing as a pass catcher. Really has grown into a well rounded TE. I know we have a TE and don't want one but I still wish we went after him.

No doubt he's a great player. He'll be a good one at UGA.

We have three young TEs on the roster with the same skill set as Harris. Why would you add a fourth with the same skill set, when you could get another TE with a different skill set, i.e. Oliver? Oliver is the faster more agile TE who can line up wider take a dirty split. Harris is your regular on the end of the line TE, which we have Wolfe, Branisel, and Helm.

Last year or next yearwe would be all over him. Timing sucks but i wish the kid well, he has the talent to have a very good college career.

Harris looks very good to me. Must have taken some gumption to pass on a player like that.

Harris is very good, but as posted earlier, the timing with 3 other TE's with the same skill set as Harris is the problem...UT has greater needs at other positions,we are good to go at the TE position for the next few years, the offer to Oliver is to get a more athletic hybrid type of TE,not a traditional TE... if not for greater needs at other positions, and the luxury of Wolf,Helm,Bransiel, and Oliver,I think UT goes after Harris hard, the timing and luxury of offering another wasn't there this year,IMO

Gumption? geez guy we signed a more athletic type of te in an attempt to stretch the field more. Guess thats 'Gumption'.

I'm pretty sure Helm is a split out wide tight end.

Looks line we missed bad

I'm not sure we missed as much as what I said earlier.
I just think they like Oliver as a TE more and we don't have the luxury of offering 2 TE's this cycle...too many other needs... we can't get them all,as much as we want to...

Jackson Harris looks like a beast. Hard for me to believe he wasn't the #1 TE on our board regardless of skill set. Big body that can block and will catch everything thrown his way. I know Butch loves running the TE down field but with our receivers I'll take a great blocker with good hands at TE.

Like triad280 said though we can't get them all.

We really don't know- maybe he didn't mesh well with the players we already have.. Maybe butch thinks he's a punk that would bring our team down.. Maybe he really didn't like the poster from here a couple years ago..We really don't know the reason- but there obviously is one.

He's still around. Post as JaxVol now I believe.

Maybe ButchCo contacted him and he said don't waste your time.
