Settle, who keeps in contact with Tennessee tight ends coach Mark Elder and was visited last week by Vol offensive line coach Don Mahoney, said he likes what he's hearing so far from the Volunteer staff.
"He's just been telling me that they're a great program and they're getting top recruits and that I need to come visit," Settle said. "I tried to watch them a lot this year," Settle said. "They have a great fan base and their fans are committed and I really like that."
Settle hopes to make it down to Tennessee sometime in the winter or spring and hopes to see FSU, Georgia, Arizona and others as well. Settle already has a map for how he hopes his recruitment plays out as he plans to commit on Oct. 18 next year after taking all five official visits.
"The relationship with coaches are important and the academics, the school in general, and I want to have a great official visit," Settle said. "It's going to mostly be based on my official visits and how everything goes. I want to have a great time."
