'15 VA DT Tim Settle

Well.. I mean, someone else could have called and committed. Everyone is just assuming it's DeBerry and Settle. DeBerry I believe did silent. Settle seemed more open. Jmo

Thought about that too. Seems plausible that Settle and DeBerry committed together while they were on campus, but either way I think we got 2 commits recently. Now they just need to pick their day.

Ive followed recruiting long enough to know that silents happen but also know that the % of them signing with said team is low. We hear talk every cycle about suppose silents. My point was tOSU has claimed Settle has been a silent since Larry Johnson Sr was hired.

Our coaches don't claim silents, that would defeat the purpose. Almost every recruit suspected to be a silent committed to UT last class. Butch gets it IMO

I don't put any stock in silent commits anymore than I do with kids who say they are 88% committed. I believe Butch does control WHEN they commit, but that doesn't mean that every commit is a silent commit.

I believe he is a Vol per Zach Azzani.

I like your enthusiasm, but you're looking to hard for significance. Just because a guy tweets "back to back" or "brick by brick" does not mean that we received silent commits from two of the more talented guys out there. Not saying they wont both be Vols, but I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself to the point where youre going to look silly if they end up elsewhere.

When recruiting has been quiet like it has, just claim some "silent commitments". It allows for some worthless "BOOMS", and if/when the kid commits elsewhere, just say screw em and move on.
