Woody just passed along that the Niceville, Fla., duo of Rivals100 athlete Elijah Stove and four-star defensive back Romeo Finley are both coming up from Niceville this weekend for the game.

They will be joined by a few other teammates but those two are the main guys in the group. Stove is definitely a guy the Vols are after and both Stove and Finley have been on campus for camp.

SmokinBob or rocktopper, yall are close to Ft Walton. Yall know anything about Romeo Finley?

They wanna play together, Deodre Elijah and Jessica was at Fort Walton's homecoming weekend before last. Supposedly a coach from LSU was up last weekend too. Still thinking he's a FSU lean barring any sanctions coming from Winston.

Evidently Elijah is high on our board right now. Kid is a game changer with the ball in his hands.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver from Niceville, Fla., has visited Tennessee twice already; once for a junior day last spring and then again this season when Tennessee played Alabama.

"The Vol Walk was probably my favorite thing," Stove said. "It's an amazing atmosphere. They have a lot of fans and a lot of people are that are loyal. Of course I like the coaches and facilities, for sure."

"They've said that they are always going to have a lot of receivers and the ones that stand out and that put in the most work, like at every school, and produce well will start and play the most," Stove said. "They've talked to me about if I were to commit there and play up there about how it would always be a family. If I were to stop playing football or when I leave college or if I played in the NFL, it would be a family.

"At my school we basically run the same offense as them," Stove explained. When I came up there for the junior day and we watched them last spring and I knew almost every single play.

Besides Tennessee, Stove saw games at Florida State, Auburn and Alabama this past season. He already has an early top five of Auburn, Oregon, Tennessee, LSU and Florida. He hopes to visit LSU and Oregon for the first time this summer while also visiting Tennessee again either in the spring or summer. He will be at Auburn this weekend for a visit.

Stove doesn't participate in many offseason events, so it was nice seeing him showcase his skill set on Saturday. And showcase it, he did. Stove caught a handful of touchdowns in his team's first two games and did so on long routes that saw him lean on his speed. Stove was dangerous on fade routes but also showed off a sudden change of direction that made him nearly impossible to cover. Stove dropped a pass or two on Saturday, but the good was miles more noticeable than the bad. Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and LSU are the schools that are currently standing out to Stove, a four-star prospect.

COCOA BEACH, Fla., — For 4-star receiver Eli Stove of Niceville (Fla.), a commitment isn’t that far off.

Stove was an all-state pick in 2014.
“I’ll probably make it before the summer,” Stove told AuburnUndercover on Saturday at the Pylon Elite 7v7.

At the moment, three programs stand out, he said: Auburn, LSU and Florida.

“Honestly, I just like being at those schools,” Stove said.

The 6-foot-1, 178-pound Stove, the No. 11 receiver in the 247Sports Composite, visited Florida on Friday and Auburn two weeks ago. The Tigers are considered the favorite by many and are getting 80 percent of the 247Sports Crystal Ball picks.

According to Stove, Auburn receivers coach Dameyune Craig is recruiting him the hardest. Craig and Stove have been communicating since Stove was a 10th-grader.

“I talk to them a lot,” Stove said. "They keep in contact with my family so that’s good, too. Coach Craig is like a brother to me. He’s a good person. He keeps up with my family too, and that’s something I like.”

Of his recent visit to Auburn, Stove noted, “I liked it a lot. It’s a good environment for me.”

During that trip, Stove spent lots of time with Craig. Together, they watched film and discussed what type of role Stove would have at Auburn. According to Stove, Craig also let him know how much he wanted him in the class.

“I’d say we watched about 30 minutes for that one day, but I’m sure I’ll be watching more (with him),” Stove said. “They said I have a spot. I’d be doing speed and deep routes. I love speed, getting the ball quickly in my hands so I can make a run. It seems like a pretty good opportunity.”

Stove hopes to visit more schools before making a decision about his future.

"I have Georgia, LSU, and I think I’m going up to Michigan,” he said

Will he return to Auburn again before announcing his commitment?

“Of course,” Stove said. “Probably for a spring practice."

Hope we can get him to visit again before he commits. Hoping he could be our big fish WR along with Hardman.
