One can hold to personal moral values and understand the culture around him has shifted from what maybe you consider to be ideal.

The fact is, cursing is not viewed as strongly culturally as it once was. We can get on soap boxes, but that doesn't really do anything. The fact that he is up late at night... I think pretty much everyone on an official visit does that.

Ultimately, using these two measuring rods as a defining point of character is short sighted and judgmental, IMO.

Maybe it is better not to peer so closely into the lives of someone, if you are not prepared to invest something positive into them, or accept them as the people they are.

IMO CBO would never listen to a visitor to our program that is up all night, and using language that is disrespectful...he does not seem to take this visit seriously
