What's funny about this? How do you think Saban is able to get top recruiting classes every year? Believe it or not, kids want to go to schools who are winning championships every year. Tennessee is improving their on field success but pump the brakes a bit, we're going to have start winning games we're supposed too or else, recruits like Hardman will go elsewhere.

Whats funny is that we have already signed plenty of Hardman-level football players.

Georgia only won 9 games this regular season and nothing of substance and lost to us! How does that give them an edge in recruiting every dang year?

Georgia has always recruited well despite their underachievments. They're filled with rich instate talent every year. A lot of kids grow up Georgia fans just like Hardman and sometimes they just choose to play for their home state. Not all kids from Georgia choose to play for their home state but most majority of them do.

Where you been the last two years, bro? Jalen Hurd, Alvin Kamara, Drew Richmond, Khalil McKenzie, Kyle Phillips, Shy Tuttle were all huge recruits. Dare I say Hardman-like.

I wouldn't say going forward. Remember PWilliams is straight off an injury. Next year he should be back and the growth from 18 to 19 years of age is silly. You know that now brother. Baby Tron has a huge upside.

More like Alshon IMO. He doesn't have that kind of top end. The upside to is there, but idk how you can choose him over a guy that looks like Amari Cooper already, and will improve as well.

Yeah, the slightest lull bring out the negative nellies, fact is Tennessee has 2 top classes in a row and this class while smaller in numbers will be another very solid group. A lot of this class isn't going to be called to come in and play right away and will get a chance to develop in the weightroom. Still it will be a talented and good class, and once we win the East next year and contend for the SEC and the playoffs you can bet your bottom dollar next years class will be stellar. The future is bright, don't let the legion of doom get you down with we aren't recruiting good enough. That's total BULL HOCKEY!!! GBO!!!!!

You do realize OV has direct contact and knows Mecole personally and is referring to first hand knowledge?

Maybe, but where have I heard that same song and dance before? I have known a lot of players and former players. Rarely do they share their innermost feelings with individuals who aren't in their immediate family regardless of what some would have you to believe. I am not criticizing OV nor do I know him personally but I can tell you from experience that many recruits tell many different people different things to stir interest. For instance, Vonn Bell told his high school football head coach and those around him he was headed to UT the day before he committed to OSU; Gabe Wright did the same before he committed AU; Preston Williams informed many that he had flipped to UGA but signed with UT. Point is, they change their minds rapidly and one thing or another can sway a recruit in a matter of hours not days.

If you are referring to his signing "financial papers" comment, it happens all the time and is not binding to the recruit just the university.

Well I hope Mecole enjoyed all the attention from everybody. I know the recruiting game goes down like this every year but he was always going to GA. Wish these cases would commit early, go ahead and take their OVs but save people's time, energy, and money.

I still think it will be difficult to get Hardman, but this thread took a turn in a hurry. People talking about having to win 10+ games to get recruits and inferring Georgia is a better program.

Last time I checked, Butch has recruited these players the last two years. Hardman will most likely be at Georgia because he lives in their backyard and his mother works in Athens. What would our fans say if Tee Higgins went elsewhere?

:eek:lol: Georgia can't beat us when we are good... they barely beat us when we were bad.

Let's take a minute to recognize what ZDT has become: He's come back to lurk on a 5* GEORGIA boy's VN page because now they are even doubting on dawgsite that they land him. Now he notices a slight made toward UGA and he can't resist posting a response.

And immediately got two quotes..

You'd think people would've learned not to quote ZEROballsatall by now....
