If it was up to "him", I bet he'd choose Tenneseee but looks like his mom wants Georgia so I think that wins out in the end.

I think he is happy with either place honestly. UT might have a slight edge but I'm positive his mom favors UGA by a lot. All about whether he prefers playing WR or DB for the next four years; FWIW UT has a good history with both positions going into the league.

Actually Butch talks to his family a lot now he also told his mom that he's not giving up on Mecole and that he will be there till the end no matter if he commits somewhere else or not

As a parent, if my child earns something from their own hard work and studying, they will get to pick where they take their talents...they earned it. I don't understand some parents.

I told mine that they can go anywhere and I will support them...except when/if they play TN. I will root for them to do good personally, but will always root for the VOLS to win.

I would let them choose but I would want to trust who they were playing for. As much a fan as I am, I wouldn't let my son play for a guy like Dooley.

I had a very prominent HS coach(Multiple State Championships) tell me that Derrick Dooley, from a trust and character standpoint, was the kind of man he would want his son to play for. However as a football coach he would not want his son to play for him.

If I were Perry I would focus completely on baseball. He apparently has pro potential. His knees are just a huge liability at this point.

I agree. He has a better chance getting in the MLB and starting than the NFL. Dude is sick on the baseball field.

So, what now at wide receiver. The Vols still have a lot of guys on the board that we've mentioned a lot. Mecole Hardman, Kyle Davis and Marquez Callaway from Georgia are all still targets.

Most HS coaches even the ones that are die hard UT fans tell me DD was a condescending ass in the few opportunities they had to meet him. But whatever let's not discuss the past.

High school friend of mine felt the same way.. She couldn't stand Dooley. Her son ended up playing for another SEC team.. Worse part was he was a legacy....

I talked to staff people that works for the athletic dept and all said that Dooley had one of the most foul mouths of anyone they have ever been around. He was also a jerk when it came to getting little petty things done for him.

He was mad because nobody could find Rommel
