"Tennessee is another school I like. Many in my family have gone to college in the state of Tennessee, so I know a lot about it, and the University of Tennessee has a good program. They always have good players and they have a good football program too."

Ladler could be the next big thing from a program that historically has sent a ton of players to major college programs. Already, he has an impressive offer list that includes schools such as Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. His older brother, Kenny, is a starting safety for the Commodores. Ladler not only has nice hips, but an ideal cornerback body. He's 5-feet-11, 175 pounds, with a good reach.

When he comes here instead of Vandy their family get togethers will liven up a bit I would imagine!

Ladler was on campus for UT's Jr. Day per 247.

Kid has an impressive offer list so far.

What DBs should we take for 2016?

Ladler
Levonta Taylor
Osborne
Warrior
JoeJuan Williams
Edmunds
Banks
Bailey Phillips

I would think we would only take four total. We are high for everyone on this list. Tough choice

I have seen Banks play twice this past season and I wasn't sold on him being SEC caliber either.

Ya I'm the same way. If you made me choose between him phillips. I'd probably pick phillips. I know he is small but he plays some really good competition. I always like it when a guy plays against solid high school competition.

Warrior, Taylor, joejuan, Osborne. In that order.

Ladler, edmunds, Vaughn should be good too

I'm not really a fan of banks and i have no idea about phillips(honestly haven't even watched his film, my bad).

Sounds good here imo.

The next prospect at IMG Academy to make a decision will likely be the 5-foot-11, 170-pound Ladler. With a decision date that could come as soon as early next week, the former Stone Mountain (Georgia) Stephenson standout will be taking a look at an SEC West power.

“I’m happy to go down to LSU and see what they have to offer,” Ladler said.

While Ladler says he is close to a decision, he also says he will make visits after giving a verbal commitment.

“It’s between Tennessee, LSU and Georgia. I’m close, but I’m not sure yet of a date.
I’m probably going Georgia this summer for Dawg Night, though, and I’m not sure when I’m going to visit Tennessee,” Ladler said.

Tennessee and Georgia are the programs Ladler is most familiar with, hailing from the Atlanta area.

“Coach [Willie] Martinez coached one of my old school coaches at Stephenson. He tells me how good Martinez is as a coach and that is what has pushed me to like Tennessee. Coach [Jeremy] Pruitt came in last year and stepped Georgia’s defense up and made a big difference. He’s a real good coach, and I like that.”

sounds like coaching is important to him. I think the big gains our D is making from year to year will have a big influence on him. our improvement has been better than GAs under Pruitt, and we will see what happens at LSU after Chavis left.

Ladler, rated fifth at cornerback by Rivals.com, said he has a top four of the (LSU) Tigers, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida State. There is no clear favorite at this point, but Ladler said those four are definitely out in front.

5 star Savion Smith is his teammate at IMG academy and is committed to LSU. Would not be surprised if LSU seals the deal early here.

Out of nowhere it seems. Decided to check out 247. UT and UGA are the only schools listed as "warm"
