Long story short. We will prob close with Byrd, Warrior, Brown and a mixture of Kongbo, Moss or Dickerson. Ole Miss was in the drivers seat for Kongbo but Ncaa came down with allegations and a LOI on them now putting us very much back into the race. Visits are going really well and we are bout to close really strong. Still not backing down that we finish with a Top 10 class.

We are said to have 4 spots left

We take 4 (or maybe all) of the following if they want in:

DB Warrior
DB Byrd
DL Kongbo
DL Brown
OL Dickerson

If we miss one 2 or more of those guys, we could probably see us take:

RB Moss
WR Williams

now, as I said, we are rumored to have 4 spots left, but if everyone in the first group wanted to commit, I don't see Butch telling any of them no.

Feeling good about/think we lead for:

Warrior
Byrd

Probably a toss up-50/50%

Brown
Kongbo

Thought to be behind/have ground to make up:

Dickerson

Notice what Skeeter says. "The coaches feel very good about Brown and Byrd." He's not saying it's a done deal, just that the coaches really like where they're at. "He said they expect to close..." Not that they will close. They expect to close. Coaches are subject to the whims of these players. They may leave campus giving the coaches the warm fuzzies, but once they get back home, anything can happen.

The only player Skeeter has actually said is a Vol is Warrior, and that was in another post.

Ole Miss in trouble, seems great athletes weren't going there for their grand facilities. Complete surprise :)

Our expected visitors all made it in.

Even ice cream can't break Shoops poker face.

Miami fans believe their facilities are better than ours.
They have footage to prove this but you need a Beta player to view.

Think that covers it.

Remember he was coming off a torn ACL. 😁😁😁😁

Was the best WR in the country prior to the injury. People love Ridley and he's good but he doesn't do well on CBs that can run with him. He's also 21 already, PDub will grow tremendously this offseason.

We played Lovejoy when he was there. Incredible talent. The dude plucked a ball off our cornerback's helmet on a back-corner fade. He high-pointed it, then brought it down and bonked our cornerback on the head. He did that twice. He was also their punter.

Wonder if now that we apparantly get Warrior and if Gibbs were to commit, would JJ stay put at WR? With Gibbs and Stevens out there next year we don't need a log jam.

lol periscope is so weird. Anywho, just watched Marquill's latest video and he said Warrior is committing to UT. We've already had multiple insiders say that on here but just thought i'd share

Gibbs and Stevens are tremendous talents but I don't think that will be the reason JJ stays on offense if that's the decision. You do what makes you the best team for this upcoming season. Can't base your decision on 2 kids still in HS.

I've heard rumors that Miami always leaves a kilo of Colombian bam bam in players lockers after each win... Just a rumor

Even if we land Warrior, that only gives us 4 safeties on the roster next year, only 3 of which have played a snap in college. I think JJ switching to S likely depends more on whether or not the WR corps can spare him than if we pick up Warrior.

I don't know. But if 1 goes down with injury, you don't even have a two deep. I think I read somewhere that Gaulden could possibly make the switch from nickel to safety too. Anyway, I was just throwing a hypothetical out there regarding JJ's chances of switching to safety and suggesting that even if we get Warrior, we may not exactly be flush at the position. It seems that Doug Matthews has mentioned JJ switching more than a couple times and there's just a lot of smoke out there about it.

Fwiw, if you read Football Concepts blog about the Shoop defense, the nickel is not a feature so expect Gaulden to go back to his old CB ways of eating peanut butter off WR's heads inside the sidelines
