Dale Carter was one of the most dominating defensive players I have ever seen at UT (I am not saying he is better than ....).

If not for his off the field issues in the NFL, I believe he would have been a first ballet Hall of Fame inductee.

“It’s just shocking because I wasn’t at school when I got it,” Warrior told InsideTennessee. “I was at the track meet. Coach Thig told me he came all the way down here to let me know that I have an offer. That’s where my dad went to school. It’s still kind of shocking.”

“I really like Tennessee, honestly,” said Warrior, who is already rated a Scout four-star prospect as a sophomore.

Said his dad has told him what it means to be a VFL but will not pressure him to go to UT and will support his decision no matter what. Also said he has no preference at CB or S, and already knows things to do in coverage moat don't his age because of his dad. Also said he wants an offer from every SEC school

So we have a chance to have a Berry, a Bates, a Cherry, a McKenzie, and a Warrior on defense in the near future. I like it.

Dale was definitely light in his feet....had no idea he was a dancer, not to mention that he would make the Ballet HOF 😊

"Tennessee offering me is kind of a big deal," Warrior said. "Coach Thigpen is recruiting me and we are just starting to talk. I was very surprised they offered me this early."

"We talk a lot about Tennessee," Warrior said. "We are real close. He says Tennessee is a nice place where they take care of their players and they make you feel at home. I've been up there before, but I was really young. Hopefully my dad and I are going to make it back up there during the summer."

And the schools who like him are growing as NC State and Wisconsin both joined Tennessee in offering Warrior over the weekend. However, don't look for the early attention to affect him.

"I'm letting my mom and my coach handle all the recruiting stuff," Warrior offered. "I'm just focusing on playing ball."

Clemson, Louisville, and Georgia offered yesterday. Speaking with one of the 247 guys, he expects Warrior to be an elite prospect. This guy will be ranked among the best.

Aka sending a PM to the experts asking where he will be ranked

That's more clear than "in speaking with", FWIW. We will see where Mr. Warrior is ranked. Top 50 would be shocking to me, but 4* for sure.

"It's amazing," Warrior said of the offer from UGA. "I'm really excited about it. I love Georgia. I loved it when I visited there. Georgia is my home. It is where I'm from. They put players in the NFL at Georgia and I want to play in the NFL like my dad (Dale Carter) and my uncle (Jake Reed) so Georgia would be a great place."

Once Warrior received the offer from Georgia, it didn't take him long before the coaching staff let him know he was wanted as Pruitt made the trip to Westlake less than 24 hours later.

The Georgia defensive coordinator and Warrior spoke shortly after Pruitt left the school and the rising junior standout is quite impressed with the UGA assistant's pedigree.

"I don't think there is a coach in the country that can say they have done what coach Pruitt has," he said. "With those three championships and his work with defensive backs, he is just an amazing coach. You can tell he just loves the game when he talks, too. He uses his defensive backs a lot and has a lot of success with them."

At this point in the process Warrior is in no hurry. He isn't scampering to take a bunch of visits this summer and he doesn't plan on making a decision any time soon.

He does, however, have a few places he wants to see in the near future.

"I don't have a lot planned but I know I'll be visiting Georgia since it is just down the road," Warrior said of his summer plans. "I want to visit Ohio State and I want to get up to Clemson. Those are some places I want to get to. I have a few camps coming up and I'm going to be in some seven-on-seven events with my team. That is about it."
