Im hoping a school picks up Pruitt soon so he doesn't get handed the job once Richt leaves or is forced out after going 9-3. Kinda like Bo Pelini
I'm not worried. Some of the best coordinators aren't meant to be head coaches (Derrick Mason for example). He could very well be the next Richt. Personable guy, good recruiter, bed wetter of a coach that can't get over the 10-11 win mark.

Pruitt seems to be the Vic Wharton of Coaching....meaning he jumps to a new school just about every year. I wouldn't worry about him staying at Georgia too long. JMO.

He made it known he wanted to be in the SEC from the get go. He went to FSU because he was never going to get a shot at DC at Bama with Smart there. Have you noticed how bad Bama's DBs have been the last few years? Pruitt left, and the development of Bama's DBs declined.

I said when they hired him that he'll save Richt from getting canned, and I still stand by that statement. They will have a top 10 defense year in and year out under Pruitt. He's a boss coach, and a great recruiter. Butch and company will be going head to head with Pruitt and UGA for top talent in GA for years to come IMO. Should be fun to watch us battle it out the next few years.

Every year? From my memory the have started off well with Richt but seems like every other year lately they win 6 or 8, or so

He's only won less than 8 games once in his entire career. Can any other school say that the last 14 years? Maybe OSU? He's kinda like Bobby Cox IMO. 136 wins in 14 years so yeah almost 10 a year and 40 in the last 4. 120 teams would take that. Heck, USCe made rings and they've won 40 in 4.

The worst part is his rep is he don't have the killer instinct on the field and doesn't get his hands dirty in recruiting, Pruitt does and has the Saban mentality. Someone needs to hire him away.

Cox won a championship and multiple pennants. He's more like Lovie Smith when he was with Bears or Pinkel at Missouri.

Very similar to Fulmer

“it’s definitely a place of interest for me. It’s high on my list right now — definitely still in that top group.”

the 6-foot-4, 305-pound brown said georgia remains his leader, but auburn, alabama, tennessee and ole miss also remain in contention just behind the home-state bulldogs.

Says he will probably commit at All star game or shortly after football season. Says he's looking at the Business schools.

Julian Rochester is supposed to commit to Georgi today I think, so that may have something to do with it.

Boom. Enter Butch.

Georgia fans believe he's already a silent and this is just fodder.

“I feel like there’s obviously something going on up there that everybody’s expecting to happen if all these big-time guys are going up there,” the Scout five-star defensive tackle told InsideTennessee.

“Some things were said and I didn’t like what I heard,” Brown told Scout. “I heard a couple of times I was solidly committed to UGA, but that’s not true. I’m here to set the record straight. I’m still in my recruitment.”

“The place is just electric. You (feel it when) you walk in the building. Me and my family pulled up and the whole faculty was waiting outside for us,” Brown said of his first visit to Tennessee.

“We spent about 6-7 hours up there. Just the facilities are so nice, the recruiting class they got this year … it’s pretty big. I feel like Tennessee is on the come up.”
