Vols close to offering. Has Clemson, Ohio St, Va Tech, Nebraska, Miami, West Virginia, etc. offers, but says a UT offer would be "a dream."

“It would mean so much to me, man. Like, for real,” Cooper told IT. “I love what they have going on up there with the recruiting classes and I think I fit that offense really, really well. I want that offer bad.”

Even with Williams likely to scare off quite a few other top QBs, we'll still need to take one in 2016. :)

Also on Cooper, he is from Miami and grew up a cane fan. IMO that is where he signs.

:-/ they took 2 qbs last year and already 1 this year tho?

Many recruits grow up cane fans.

Gaulden was a cane fan.

Also look at their WR then look at ours. I think you know where I'm going with this.

UT has always had some of the best WRs in the nation. The canes have been no slouches as far as WRs go. The WRs have not helped recruit top QBs the last couple years, that's for sure. Why don't top level QBs want to play with the top WRs in Knoxville? I don't know. I just assume it has something to do with the coaches and still getting their feet wet in the SEC. IF our QBs start to look like they are progressing well and look like upper lever SEC QBs, maybe more QBs buy into what CBJ is selling.

I honestly feel like most of these QB's don't do their homework on the schools they are choosing between. They look at QB depth chart but they don't look at the positions that will most impact their productively. That is all IMO of course because it doesn't make any sense otherwise.

I agree. A lot of young kids are cane fans. Did Gaulden actually grow up in Miami? I ask because I don't know. A fan and actually growing up there would be different IMO.

I'm not sure if he grew up there, but some thought Gaulden would end up there.

Sounds like Cooper really wants that UT offer, so let's see how it plays out.
