The other priority at running back continues to be Elijah Holyfield. The feeling we've gathered recently is that Tennessee and Auburn have made strong pushes for Holyfield. Even though he's not expected in Knoxville this weekend, look for Holyfield to make it back to Knoxville some time this summer.

“It’s a really close relationship (with Jones) — one of the closest I have with a head coach — so that’s pretty cool,” said Holyfield, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 186 overall prospect and No. 8 running back in the 247Sports Composite for the 2016 class. “I think it’s a lot with him because he’s such a down-to-earth person. He’s not like the normal head coach, so I feel like he connects with players a little bit more. I like that.

“I went up there for a game and I was able to see the atmosphere,” he said. “It was crazy. It was probably one of the more crazy places I’ve been to, so I had a good time. That’s a big thing for me — playing in front of a big crowd and stuff like that. It really helps.

“I want to get up there and kind of see how off-the-field life is, how some of the players are — maybe visit when they’re not playing football or something like that.”
