'16 GA RB JaQua Daniels

If we miss on our top targets, I wouldn't mind giving Daniels a shot, or maybe trying to get back in on Washington.

Dude is UGA's backup plan, but it's hard to name a school that's better at recruiting RB's than Georgia so I'll take their sloppy seconds all day.

Rowe said Daniels would need to retake some classes and a strong Sr year in the classroom to make it into SEC. Said he has a chance tho.

UGA only has plans to take one back this year, 2 next year. Hollyfield is #1 on the board. Daniels will not be a take unless every other RB goes somewhere else. He's not the backup, he would be a desperation sign IMO.

I hope that we land one of our top targets, but you would think we could land this kid if we push if UGA doesn't.

if UGA gets Holyfield they likely won't take another back but if they miss on him they probably take 2.

If we miss out on Elijah we wouldn't need to take two backs, we would still only need to take one back this class. After this year we only lose Keith Marshal so we only need one back to replace him.

This year is a shallow year in terms of backs with next year being much stronger. UGA is already pursuing Anthony McFarland Jr and Trey Sermon among others.

Our numbers are getting tight for this class and RB just isn't as great a position of need as other positions are due to those RB's already on the roster.

I believe your last paragraph is entirely wrong. We have one RB on the roster (Hurd) who doesn't have a question mark by his name. If the injury bug hits us, we will be up ish creek with no paddle. RB is absolutely a huge need for us this cycle.

He is almost bearable but it is a good policy to ignore all UGA fans IMO. It just makes life happier.

Coach Jones would have to be crazy not to take JaQua Daniels.

First of all right now we only have one big RB in Hurd. And IMO every team needs a big RB.

Hurd is a sophomore so next year no doubt is his last year. So we need to be recruiting a Big RB to take his place. And IMO JaQua could do just that after watching his video.

Kid reminds me of Rocky Reid a bit. Good HS running back, but maybe not what it takes to play in the SEC. Kid apparently loves UGA, and they're not taking him.

Also, our staff told Carlin Fils-Aime that he'd be our only running back in this class, and I think that's a huge reason he committed and is so "solid" in his commitment.

With none of our current RBs scheduled to leave after this year, and with the number crunch we have, we probably have more pressing needs elsewhere than taking a second RB. FTR, all JMO, TIFWIW.

Daniels has good size but not much else to justify an offer. He's not fast and has not been a particularly effective running back at the HS level, averaging just 5.3 yards per carry during his career. He's carried the ball 100 times this season but scored only 4 TDs. And he's caught 18 passes for just 95 yards, which is additional evidence that he lacks the explosiveness you want in an SEC-caliber RB.

Combine his lack of production and a tendency to get injured, and I think we'd be crazy to go after him hard. Note that he's not had any new offers in the past 5 months.

We don't have the numbers to take more than 1 RB. We got a stud in CFA. There are some instate studs at RB for 2017 the staff has eye like Cordarrian Richardson and Ty Chandler. The hope is to take 2 studs next year to replace the Hurd/Kamara scholarships.

2017 is the reload year for RB we shouldnt really be gambling on RBs right now when offensive linemen, receivers & DBs are a bigger need

some really talented instate guys next year. Richardson, Hayden & Chandler are all sec caliber players.

edit echo, echo, echo:lol:
