I don't know that there's one that would receive the traditional, "I like where Tennessee is," indicating an impending commitment.
But, I think they are the team to beat with Jordan Bonner. I think they are trending with the JaMarcus King kid at corner.
King is scheduled to be here North Texas weekend, Nov. 14.
He told me he wasn't sure if he would take his Florida visit as of now. I do think some other teams will jump in the mix at some point, just not sure who yet.
Going heavy Juco on defense it appears.
Couple of questions:
1. What makes you think this guy will come in and start on day 1? (Not saying he won't, just curious).
2.) Doesn't he have academic uncertainties? If so, with our limited numbers, is he worth the risk?
I really like his size and speed. He is really physical too. He has nice highlights. Sutton is likely gone and no one else has proved a thing to me. Playing time is there for the taking. Martin has shown flashes. Moseley has a lot of potential, but just hasn't broke out yet. Gaulden should be solid. I have high hopes for both Abernathy and Osborne.
Emmanuel Moseley is quickyly earning himself a seat on the bench. Honestly, Malik Foreman and E. Moseley are not SEC quality players. Butch Jones probably shouldn't have accepted their commitment. But then again, hindsite is 20/20.
What is so frustrating is that they both have all the tools.
Throughout the month of November we expect Tennessee to host several junior college players including its trio of junior college commitments as well as defensive lineman Jordan Bonner and cornerback JaMarcus King. We wouldn't be surprised if others set up to visit Knoxville as well.
King and Bonner are both likely to visit during the Homecoming weekend when the Vols take on North Texas.
King told Volquest.com earlier this week he wasn't sure if he would take his Florida visit and as of now only for sure knows that he will see Tennessee. That certainly would be a development in Tennessee's favor.
Tennessee is gearing up for its final official visit weekend of the season and there should be a good number of visitors in for that weekend and most, if not all, of the official visitors will be junior college prospects.
As of now, this is who we are expecting in on an official visit that weekend:
Jeff George
Alexis Johnson
DJ Henderson
Jordan Bonner
Jonathan Kongbo
Stephan Robsinson
While, that's subject to change, that's what we're hearing as of late this week. Some may be wondering why JaMarcus King's name isn't on there and that's due to his grade situation from what we understand.
Remember, both Auburn and Florida backed off from him earlier in the process and Tennessee seems to be the latest to do that.
