Not a long while. He was really high on us but Fsu has been just as relentless as we have. I dont know if he just in general likes the locale of the school or just thinks he can get more PT there. But if you ask me Tallahassee is a dump.

I hate to damper on this parade but I was almost sure we would get him but I am hearing that Fla St has made quite the push for him and it may have been enough to tip him to the Noles. Just passing along what I was told.

There has always been a misconception that these recruits are "agonizing" over the decision until the last minute but every recruit/player I have ever coached or known make their decisions way before they take a visit and the visit is generally taken to reinforce said decision. So, I am going to go out a limb here and say that he has told his family or coaches where he is headed hence the lack of cb's to UT. Does that mean nothing can change? No, but I would imagine it would take a heck of a lot to sway him at this point so we may need to bring in the prostitutes or $500 handshakes imho.

Most teams recruit tackles first and then move the ones who don't cut it to guard

I think we have all heard about the push by FSU. I'm looking at the entire recruitment, he has been to UT for a ton of visits back to his junior year and he is coming in to town for the last weekend before signing day. Nobody is doubting that FSU is in it, but to say it's over is crazy. I just think having the last visit is huge and my comments stand. He is a VOL on signing day, heck I could be wrong but that's what I think. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!

Nah, I think it was easy to negatively recruit against UT in the middle of the season. Things got pretty dark.

No one in October thought Butch was actually going to get fired. I was frustrated as hell and still knew he'd get at least 1 more if not 2 more years.
