'16 NC QB Austin Kendall (former UT commit)

Matt never really seemed small to me. Always a full 6'2"-6'3" and more built even when he was sort of skinny. Austin is probably right around 6' but also pretty well-built at around 200. Some sites have Austin as 6'2" but that to me is BS. The pic of him and Butch where Austin is a few inches taller is what I'm going off of. Butch is what, 5'9"ish?

Stafford has always had that "baby fat" face, which always made him look bigger to me. I was actually surprised to see his actual size (weight). I would have guessed about 10-15 lbs heavier based on his face alone.

Keep in mind that Austin still has two years to grow too, & I'm not calling them identical twins, but they aren't entirely dissimilar either. Both are somewhat traditionally undersized QBs from a height standpoint.

As for AK's actual height, I'm not sure. I'm just going off of his recruiting profile. Perhaps it is inflated, but I can't just assume as much and then assume that Stafford's is correct.

Fair enough on all your points.

Height isn't a huge deal in college anyway

Watched his highlights and was impressed with the variety of throws he makes. His elusiveness is fantastic and like the experts have said, he has excellent presence in the pocket.

If Medley goes down, it appears he can handle kickoff duties as well.

Impressed.

Already posted that he measured out at 6'1" during the visit. He may not be done being a rising junior. But my opinion of height at QB has permanently changed with the success of Wilson, Brees, Manziel, etc. Especially in the spread style offense.

Pocket presents?

Surprised he made a choice this early. Thought he would have waited to pick between Tennessee and kentucky, especially with a brother at uk. Wouldn't be shocked if he decommits and thinks again, but either way glad UT him since we didn't.

I don't think so, Scooter.

I'm not gonna go all LV, but I suspect 16' will be a smaller class. Most Dooley era players will be gone, there will be fewer transfers IMO.

I'm with you on this. At some point, Butch will have to start weeding out his recruits if he continues to sign 25 every year. The rubber will soon meet the road but for right now, lets just enjoy the ride :salute::salute::salute:
