Not surprising at all if it does, GFW. As I posted before, there would be strong logic in changing to UT if I am in Kareem's shoes. The door swings wide open the year he gets here if one or both of Hurd/Kamara go to the league. Regardless, he is one injury away from serious PT and most of the CFB world knows Urban would recruit over his mother if he felt he needed to. Sorry, mom.
Kamara might but jalen can't. He's only a sophomore this year and needs to have 3 years of college football to be eligible.

I have always thought that Kamara would be a one and done since this coming year would be his third out of high school. And RB's want to limit their contact before getting into the NFL.

But not an H-back :)

The original "h" back was a term for a guy who was a running back half of the time. Thus the term halfback. Because sometimes you'd split him out as a wr. Unlike the "fullback". He was always in the backfield.

I still use that terminology in my offense today. My slot is called H. Because he's also the guy who takes our jet sweeps. And I call my running back F, because he's a full time running back.

Not sure. Do know that this one will be interesting to watch.

Interesting in a very broad, recruiting-is-interesting-and-things-take-crazy-turns-so-you-never-know kind of way...

Or interesting in a more specific, I'm-hearing-from-sources-who-would-know-that-in-light-of-recent-events-he's-giving-our-Vols-a-more-serious-look kind of way?

Percy Harvin was the best runner in the SEC the 3 years he was there. He lined up many many times as a true running back. Sometimes he motion to the backfield or to the slot.

He was the best tailback and Wide Reciver UF had.

The man had over 1500 yards recieving and rushing. Thats not your normal end around jet sweep guy like Pearson and Howard are for us.

Percy was both a slot and tailback at Florida.

That's not an H-back though. Hence, Urban refers to the position as something different from the typical definition of an H-back. And in 3 years he averaged 5 carries a game. That's more than a jet sweep here and there but it's not a RB load either.

Look at my post on the previous page. Not everyone uses the term H back for a TE/FB position.

Yes, I know. I was just having a little fun with him. I've always used Y for slot though. No big deal.

Can't believe you still don't get it. The drivel you're posting, trying to explain those positions makes it even worse. Read his quotes again and understand the positions better and you may understand it then. We really don't care so just keep it to yourself...Walker also mentioned the other offers to RB's by the way.

OSU won't accept any more commits at tailback unless for some reason Walker doesn't stick. They also have offered 0 new RB's since he committed.

I don't mind that you don't like what I am saying. But it's true, no matter how much you don't want it to be.
