'16 SC RB Tavien Feaster

Never said Clemson was or was not elite. I presented facts to an ignorant poster who said we're the most inconsistent program out there. Facts don't back up his claim, in fact quite the contrary.

But anyways, we're getting off topic. I simply posted breaking information about Feaster's recruitment in Feaster thread. Again, my apologies, not sure what I was thinking, lol.

Did he reclassify for 15?...if not?...ok?

He's committing on Wednesday to Clemson not signing.

A lot of schools like to have a big next cycle commit on NSD if their current class is pretty much done.

TN could possibly have one with Bituli at LB for 2016.

Don't jump down the guys throat for bringing good info.

We haven't lost to an unranked team since 2011. The 2nd longest streak in the country, only to Alabama. We also haven't lost to a team that has finished outside of the final top 10 since 2011.

Nice try though.

Clemson has also only beaten one ranked team in the regular season in 3 years so let's not get all high and mighty.

Stop acting like Clemson is elite. They're not. Never have been.

They are currently a very solid top 10-15 program...which is where we are trying to get back to.

I don't get why everyone crushes Clemson here, they've been really good and now that they've gotten over their Spurrier jinx they look to only have one nemesis left, FSU.

They've also beat Ohio St, LSU and Oklahoma in bowl games as well as beating UGA, FSU and Auburn in the regular season.

Let's not pretend like we wouldn't be bragging about those victories if we had them.

Did they change the definition for "jumping down a throat"? :). Has anybody been in touch with the Nebraska fan that came on this board before the last NSD and announced that Bussey would be committing to them? I had a question for him. :hi:

Dude get out of here with your solid logic. We don't appreciate logical discussion 'round these parts, 'specially not from some pretender SEC school. Logic is for losers.

Blue font just in case cause, you know, VolNation.

You pretend your way...I'll pretend mine. :)

What I've noticed the last few years with Clemson's recruiting is they load up with a lot of elite, highly rated players (about a quarter of their class) but then there is a huge dropoff for the remainder of their class. So what you see are about 7-8 5 and high 4 stars then a ton of 3 stars. What results is good NFL talent that continues to entice elite talent to come, but a lack of quality depth that becomes apparent when they play elite competition.

Bowl games dont matter, some teams don't even want to play. Especially a team like LSU and Ohio St. when they were expecting the NC game. Oklahoma gave up on their season a long time ago. Remember what happened to Alabama and Florida when they NC contenders and got sent to a lower bowl?

Also, dabo is 1-6 against USCjr and the AU team they beat went 0-8 in the SEC that year...

Confused by this kid's rankings.

He's a 4 Star on 247, Rivals, Scout, & ESPN

But he's a 5 Star in the Composite?? :dunno:

Well he's committing to Clemson soooo? I don't understand your confusion. :)

You are exactly right. This class is the outlier, or at least that is what Clemson fans are hoping. We currently have 11 guys in the top 150 of Rivals ranking. Impressive for any school, but a little more so for Clemson.

To take your point to another level, we've always REALLY struggled with the big uglies along the OL to go along with all that great skill. Again, this year's class seems to have addressed that, as it is one of the better OL classes in the country. 2016 is shaping up to continue on that success, as we are in good position for a handful of good OL prospects.

For Clemson to make the move to the next level, this was the single biggest area that needed to be addressed. We'll see how it all works out, but there is reason for optimism.

Yeah when I saw clemsons OL class I thought, damn they might actually be about to take the next step

Which, frankly, I feel is good for us as we pull these killer classes in. The more talent schools like Clemson, Florida St., Miami, etc. can pull in versus South Carolina and Florida, and hopefully Georgia helps us dig out of our hole quicker and puts us back on top.

Serious question, would you have bumped the thread if he was not expected to announce for Clemson?

Yes, but it's likely you guys would have had the inside information, so it would probably not have been needed.

I was very involved with the North thread. There was a time we were seen as the favorite, and I posted many times on things that were both good and bad in his recruitment (from our perspective).

Tuttle is another that Clemson was always mentioned with, however most Clemson insiders knew we weren't a factor. The surprise for me was that Tenn was able to rather easily separate from UNC, who I thought would be a player to the end.

This is a great board, and I only come here and post when it's a recruit we've both offered and are after. If I can help pass along some information, I'm glad to do so. If you look back, I predicted well over a month ago that Feaster would drop for Clemson on NSD and that while Tenn was in fact 2nd, it was a distant 2nd. That all remains status quo. I also posted that I don't expect anyone to stop recruiting him, which obviously doesn't change with Wed's announcement.

Auburn may poach two of their 5* from the 15 class it looks like.

For those that might not know, he's referring to Cain and McCloud. It would be pretty shocking if they were to actually flip, to be honest.

That said, anytime your 5* guys visit Auburn (of all places) the week before NSD, it's obviously cause for concern. It's not at full panic mode yet, but it is something we'll be monitoring for sure.

Well considering he is a Clemson fan, he probably got the info from his Clemson website and thought, well I guess I'll share the info with my Vol friends.

If Clemson's site was the one to break the news that he was committing to TN, I bet Palmer would have posted it, but it most likely would have been VQ to break that info thus a TN fan would have probably posted it.

I get the same grief from Gamecock fans on their message boards, I mean I am a TN poster so I'm going to probably post TN info.

RIP Clemson 5*'s. LOL

Dabo should have told them to wear Clemson gear so they could get kicked out before the payments happen!:eek:lol:

Hopefully y'all can hang onto them...can't stand anyone more in recruiting than Auburn with Ole Miss as a close 2nd.
