'16 TN ATH Darel Middleton (Tennessee signee)

I literally remember reading an article about Middleton when he was like 15. It was said that he might be able to make a case for top 5 overall player in the nation (in his recruiting class). Anyway, that never came to fruition and he ended up in junior college. That being said why the hell did he leave here? Some of these just make no sense. RG is flat out the best at getting defensive lineman to the league. Some of these kids are just plain dumb.

6-7. 290lb guys aren’t on every street corner. He got horrible advice or decision himself to leave here. He has the physical tools to make a damn good living but must be totally out of it mentally

yep

He played well that 1 yr and left. Did it to himself and his attitude seems to still be terrible

Its time to go to work somewhere.

I was under the impression that he tweeted that leaving the Vols was the biggest mistake he'd made. Am I wrong here?

He may have. But if his attitude was a problem, the coaches aren't about to welcome him back. He left of his own accord. I wish him the best and hope he finds a home to at least finish his education and get a degree. He's sabotaged himself over and over again. That's why I said he needs a steadying influence. Be it religion or a mentor, he seems to need help to get on the right track. I really hope he finds it.
