My wife is a Father Ryan alum and my father in law is on the school's board of directors. He has no insight himself, but I'm hoping he knows enough people in the know and has enough pull, that he can pry around in this recruitment.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Williams said Tennessee once again made a good impression on him, and he’s hoping to return for one of the Vols’ home games this season.

“I really like (Tennessee) overall,” said Williams, who claims offers from 11 teams, including Alabama, LSU, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Ole Miss and Penn State. “The facilities are great. The coaches are great. It’s a great place to be. It’s really nice.

“What stands out for me is I really like the coaches and their ability to connect. They keep it real all the time. They’re just great people, great coaches, and they just want to get the best out of you — not just as a football player, but as a man. I really like the coaches.”

Williams said he watched a few minutes of Tennessee’s practice and joined the Vols’ defensive backs for their post-practice meeting and film review before talking with head coach*Butch Jones*and linebackers coach*Tommy Thigpen.
He'll be back for a game also.

Going to a good one. The 2016 class is going to be stacked. The secondary is going to finally be a strength again.

Oh my fault I believe it was a story I read in Nick Saban's autobiography or maybe it was one of the requirements of being a Bama fan. Either way it was Bama related. Sorry I didn't specify.

"It was great. I got to see everybody practice and how the coaches practice. I got to watch how the defensive backs practice and how they play," Williams said. "It was great. Coach (Butch) Jones was on the mic and he was calling people out and he was calling Jalen Hurd out. It was great, I really liked it.

"And then I went and chilled in the players' lounge the rest of the time."
