'16 TN LB Tariqious Tisdale

you can get in a major college with a D average?

2.3 is a above a C average

A=4.0
B=3.0
C=2.0
D=1.0
F=0

Qualifying is based on a NCAA sliding scale. The higher the GPA the lower ACT composite you can have (all categories added together). However, 2.3 is the baseline for NCAA, and most schools do not accept an ACT lower than 17/18 or composite 70.

Yeah although I worry about the West TN area players that get hype. The competition is so poor that alot more fail than succeed in terms of their HS ranking.

TN talent explosion has really been from the midstate particularly Nashville

I remember a few certain someone's out of West TN who have been great for the Vols. Al Wilson (JCM) Ramon Foster (Ripley) Jabari Greer (South Side) Justin Harrell (Westview) Chad Clifton (Westview) just to name a few.

“I thought it was a great atmosphere and it was a great-played game by Tennessee,” Tisdale said.

Tisdale plays a number of positions for Lexington (Tenn.) High School, including running back. The staff in Knoxville is recruiting him “mainly as a defensive end.”

“It made me feel like they’re really interested in me, and they’re doing things right,” Tisdale said.
Tisdale says he will “probably” make yet another trip to Knoxville to see a Neyland Stadium gameday when the Volunteers host Kentucky this Saturday. He also plans to the Egg Bowl when Ole Miss hosts Mississippi State on Nov. 29.

He is a heck of an athlete, if this were a 30 man class we probably get him, just couldn't with a smaller class imo

I'm surprised that Ole Miss offered. He passes the eye test but not on the field. He has ability but hard work doesn't seem to suit him.

There was just an article a month ago saying he favored us. Wonder if he got the red light from our staff

I'm thinking this is probably what happened, I think I remember this kid having some extra baggage attached to him also but I can't remember what it was.

Top of page, Lexington vol was quoted as saying he was being questioned about a 40k item being destroyed. He was going to try to find out more details, but never did.

Tweener DE/LB. He'd have been a depth guy, best case. Not a huge shock that he took the Ole Miss offer with UT's inability to take him in a small class.

He was suspended for a few games but I don't hae any info as to why other than it was behavior connected.
