Dodson wanted to be a Vol, Very Badly, but CBJ never made him a committable offer. He has been productive for TAM but if it's true that he's actually leaving, I hope CJP brings him home.

I don't think that is accurate...his father played for Tennessee under CPF and was dismissed went to Ole Miss and the NFL

Have watched him on TV. May be quicker or faster than the published times. The times may have come before or just after injury. Wait and see what they are at the end of this season. Will be stronger (better able to move his size) and hopefully over his injury.
Either way he looks to have "football smarts" which can make up for some lack of speed. Also from what I see he seems to be a team leader which we really need.

I know it's early in his time on the hill, but I find it hard for a Tennessee kid to go under the radar for this long. Injury or not. If a Tennessee kid seems to have what it takes, then he should be look at real soon and real hard and UT be the first to offer. If he is not a need or fit then let it be understood by him and all Tennessee fans it's not his fault, so we as emotional fans don't bad mouth his going somewhere else.

Not sure how true. I work with his cousin and he’s said he hates Tennessee. Doubt he’d come here

I think Bucksnort is right, I believe he wanted to be a vol but Butch had s thing for smaller LBs. Hopefully Dodson just hated Butch and not the program for that decision, I’d definitely take him.

Again, he just said he was getting off Twitter for a while. This has been confirmed on the Texas A&M boards with people who have actually talk to him.

It was in response to his, "I'm done!", tweet. People just assumed it was related to his aTm career because it occurred around the same time as several other similar, less cryptic, tweets from players who had chosen to exercise the new 4-gm redshirt rule.

While true that they jumped to an obviously wrong conclusion, I can't blame them. Dropping in 2 weeks after the fact to chastise them with hindsight in your favor isn't a good look.

Chris as you know i don't really get the sensitivity or saying I'm wrong. Ppl jumped and made these fake false hope conclusions based on a tweet because they saw him get scolded by Jimbo for engaging in a scuffle. Also for the record we wouldn't allow that if that were his reasoning. This is a very strong kid mentally and he loves aTm. So again he's not going anywhere and the way he felt about how the previous staff shunned him he in al likelyhood wouldn't transfer to UT.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen anyone reference this scuffle you mentioned, just the tweet. It was obviously premature and rash to jump to any conclusion based on it, but in the context of the transfers going on at the time, I can't blame fans for thinking his tweet meant something similar. If you don't want people to draw conclusions, don't make cryptic tweets.

Point being, we all realize he isn't going anywhere now. It's been almost two weeks since the tweet. No need to chime in at this point and remind people how ridiculous it is/was in hindsight.

The idea that he wouldn't choose UT, hypothetically, because the previous staff shunned him is dumb, too. And you may be right about it, but if true, it's just dumb. Not giving UT the time of day with an entirely new staff because the old staff blew you off is like choosing to not to go out with a hot girl because her friend blew you off earlier. Or not eating at McDonald's in Knoxville because the one in Atlanta was dirty. Two different staffs, two different cultures.
