This kid has really good potential. He's kinda raw but with his feet and agility for a guy of his stature he'll be very good. And on a side note he has a 4.3 gpa and all the Ivy league schools have been offering and he loves that. He is definitely one to watch.

Mathews & Dickerson would have to say no first

Byrum might be the backup plan to Mathews but I doubt Dickerson will have any bearing on it considering he is a guard

I could see this kid being offered a blue shirt if he hasn't been recruited

He has camped with us, so I don't know if that counts.

He could also be a preferred walk on.

I really doubt that this kid walks on if he is being offered scholarships by ivy league schools.

I'm sure Ivy League schools give out some type of scholarship for athletes, of course Byrum would qualify for a academic scholarship.

FINANCIAL AID CRITERIA
Ivy League schools provide financial aid to students, including athletes, only on the basis of financial need as determined by each institution’s Financial Aid Office. There are no academic or athletic scholarships in the Ivy League. A coach may assist a prospective student-athlete to obtain an estimated financial aid award, however only the Financial Aid Office has the authority to determine financial aid awards and to notify students officially of their actual or estimated awards.

Family has to make over $100K - $125K range before student is asked to pay any tuition. Not sure of the exact number as it keeps changing and is a bit different between all the Ivy's. Still a lot of associated expenses with travel, room & board, etc. A TN HS student with a 4.3 and good ACT scores would pay less to attend UT than the same student would to attend Harvard tuition free.

Would guess a Harvard degree might be a bit more valuable though?

I have watched this kid play since little league. He has the size to be great, but does seem to play soft a lot. I have always said he needs to play with an attitude and a mean streak! He just seems to be to nice of a kid to have that kind of attitude. I wish him well with whatever he does, or wherever he ends up playing.
