Is it eye-Kenna oh-key-key, or ick-Kenna okeek? Or some mixture of the two? Or neither? I'm terrible at player name pronunciations before hearing them...I thought Maggit was pronounced Maggot until his first time interviewed in pre-season freshman year #embarrassed

"I called coach (Patrick) Abernathy and he gave the phone to coach (Willie) Martinez and he's the one that offered me," Okeke explained. "He was just telling me how I would be a good fit in their program and that I have good size. After he offered me he was just telling me this was just the beginning and they want me to get up there as much as I can so I can be comfortable with everything."

"I was extra excited. It means a lot. I told me mom that I wanted to play for my state and I'm glad that my first offer could come from my home state so it means a lot to me," Okeke said.

"First off, I love the school, and then I've only really been to Vanderbilt for other games and compared to Vandy Tennessee is killin' it. I love the atmosphere up there and I love the fans. They are dedicated and I know they are on the rise and a great place to be at if you want to be at a winning program."

Okeke finished his junior season with 65 tackles, five interceptions, two being returned for touchdowns and two forced fumbles.

Gonna be a studdddddd. Long, fast, and a nose for the ball.

Get him on the Emmanuel Moseley PB sammie diet!

Comments sounding great for the good guys.

Few notes from IFM/NPA 7on7 camp.

"Ikenna Okeke impressed and like Williams indicated he expects to be at UT sometime this spring."

With the DB class being very deep, just not sure where/if Okeke fits. He's talented enough to play at UT if they can find a spot for him in the class.
