Per Hubbs
Texas defensive tackle Chris Daniels is scheduled to be in town. He was committed to Oklahoma until earlier this week when he reopened his recruitment after a visit to Texas. The Longhorns are now the team to beat, but the Vols are at least getting him on campus. But, this has to be considered a long shot.

hes flying cross country to see us. I highly doubt were a long shot. I agree hell stay home, but, Texas kids are 50/50. They either want to stay home for the home school kr GTFO.

I just watched highlights of this guy. The guy looks incredible against what looks like really good competition.

Is this a first to commit gets the spot between Brown and Daniels?

JMO but it should be. We're in it for Brown, but it's no guarantee what he does, and if he does choose elsewhere there probably isn't a better option left than Daniels. I don't like the idea of not landing a HS defensive tackle.

I agree. If Daniels wants in they are not going to be able to slow play him to see what Brown wants to do. He'll leave UT and commit to TX immediately.

I guess the real question is, if Daniels wants to jump on board does it make Brown look elsewhere? I'd think both could commit to us whenever they want and we'd find a spot.
