At this point they're only on their 2nd elite class and even it wasn't as highly ranked and deep as our last two. Farrell touched on that in an article on Allen and said the 2013 class was extremely top heavy and lacked depth and that depth has shown up as the season went on.
That aside, Freeze and OM have shown promise on the field, beaten Bama consecutively (something no one has done since Saban took over, I believe), had immediate playing time to sell in 2013 and again now and he's primed to have three first round picks. Granted they would've likely been 1st round picks regardless of where they went, but kids typically don't see it that way. I wouldn't be surprised if there's not something a little shady going on but their classes haven't been so elite top to bottom to cause me much concern either.
