'16 WA QB Jacob Eason

Florida has a way of making great QB prospects look like crap. Just ask Jeff Driskel.

I get nervous about Eason going to UF. Yes he could be the biggest bust (like some think about him after his elite 11 performance) or the next best thing and that scares me. I hope Graham Hall is wrong and he goes to UM or Washinngton. Also hall claimed Alex McCalister wouldn't play for our game agianst them and was wrong.

Radi Nabulsi who covers UGA is questioning Mark's character since he is recruiting Eason to Miami. This isn't the same as a coach voluntarily taking another job and then taking all his recruits with him. He got fired so I see nothing wrong with him taking Eason with him. If he does he will be winning 10+ games at Miami in no time.

I'd question his character if he DIDN'T try to recruit the best players he could to his new job.

Play QB at UGA= getting killed by the best D-line in the country at Tennessee.

Play QB at Fla= getting killed by the best D-line in the country at Tennessee.

Win win situation for us. 😁😁😁😁

Yes, but the Florida gig has the added bonus of having to face LSU and FSU every year. No doubt that UGA has the easier schedule year in and year out.

Assuming Eason has aspirations to play at the next level, playing LSU and FSU outside of the division every year would better prepare him than playing Auburn and whatever West lightweight UGA draws in most years.

I don't think he will be a bust but I don't think he is the greatest QB ever like a lot of the recruiting people hype him up to be. They claim he is head and shoulders above any other prospect yet at all camps with the top QBs he was beat out by the likes of Patterson, Henry, Haskins and others. For a ELITE no brainer guy there should be separation but yet he tends to fade to middle of pack. That leads me to think potential prima Donna like a Stafford that will be good and put up lots of numbers but fail to win the critical games.

It wouldn't better prepare him. UGA generally ply a tough OOC schedule as well, plus he would essentially be playing the same teams every year. It wouldn't make any difference.

You think Eason wants to back up Kaaya for two years before starting?

Sticking with UGA makes more sense than flipping to Miami if he wants to play early.

Every 5 star RB that signs with Bama shows you how much logic prevails.

And with that post, you have surpassed Butchna in the emoji count. Congrats.

Lol Alabama and auburn this year. Remember when yall had a Mississippi school as your permanent west rival? Yeah shut up. Dumbest post of this thread.

Playing qb for florida has perpared literally zero people to play at the next level. Get out of here.

wishful thinking on your part, but I do think UF ends up with him.

Not wishful thinking at all...if Eason wants to play as a freshman, Miami is the least desirable landing place for him.

And I'm not banking on anything with Eason until the ink is dry on his LOI and he's enrolled next month.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I'm pretty sure that UF has had LSU since the realignment.

No, I don't remember that, because you're full of crap.

When the SEC split into divisions, our permanent West opponents were LSU and Auburn.

We dropped Auburn in 2003 when the SEC went to one permanent West opponent and kept LSU.

As for UGA, you might want to check their recent West schedule prior to this season.

Since 2010 we've played Bama three times in the regular season. You guys play 'em every year.

Before this season you have to go back to 2008 for the last UGA-Bama regular season game.

Perhaps you should take your own advice and STFU.

Georgia plays Auburn every year because it's the oldest rivalry in the South.

You can't fault them for the schedule that the SEC puts out.

Oh I understand why they play each other, I was responding to whoever suggested playing UGA's schedule is somehow more advantageous for Eason as opposed to ours.

I think the #1 QB in the country wouldn't be fazed either way, and would likely want to play against tougher competition.

At the end of the day I'd be surprised if Eason flipped back to anyone but UGA, if he ever flipped from them at all. Kaaya's not going anywhere anytime soon at Miami.

True, but when it came their turn to play Bama again, the SEC reset the schedule. They ended up with Ole Miss or Arky two years in a row. Even their fans admit that it was garbage. They havent been to Tuscaloosa in 8 years and won't go back for another six. During that time UT will have been 7 times.
