Couldn't disagree more. Stone Cold's popularity is one of the main things that allowed Vince to drive Eric Bischoff out of the business. For that, every wrestler not named Hulk Hogan should pay homage to Austin on a daily basis.

Makes sense but why did he hire Bischoff then?

It just seems when the Austin/Attitude era ended wrestling had nowhere to go. It became a can you top this show that I think has hurt the sport. Wrestling has no direction now and is just kind of floundering right now.

As simply a heel character with no decison making power, Bischoff is useful. Everybody, talent included, hates him.
