I hope he remembers this if they come knocking around signing day. One team wanted you and believed in you. You were a last resort to the other.

Interesting how Rivals has him having NO interest in us. Rivals us becoming more and more terrible everyday.

Isn't there a dead period that starts a little before Christmas and goes through New Years? So if we get a commitment from any EE in early December there's almost no recruiting time for them to get flipped?

If Bituli keeps his weight down, he'll be our starting MLB when Kirkland leaves. He could also play with Kirkland in a 4-2-5, allowing Kirkland to move outside. I like Bituli's potential. I think he can be a very good player for us.

While Smith was on the mind of Tennessee head coach Butch Jones for most of the weekend, he was in South Florida on Monday spending time with early enrollees Shanon Reid and Deandre Johnson.

Reid had told several that he would likely choose LSU on Wednesday if there was room for the linebacker. But, we're hearing it's not that cut and dry. We think there may be room for Reid at LSU, but Tennessee may still have some momentum despite that.

Butch Jones met with him twice during the day, once and at school and one at the house and the added attention meant a great deal to Reid while LSU was still unsure of its numbers. As of this time Tuesday night, we think things are looking very positive for the Vols on the Reid front.

LSU could still do an in-home visit on Tuesday, but at this point we're not sure that it will happen.

He's going to start next year some where at LB. We need a hitter in there with some size.

Continued to get some info in as the night went on, but based on talking to several people I like Tennessee's chances with Reid heading into his Wednesday announcement.

As we said earlier, LSU could come in and try something tomorrow and maybe that changes things, but right now it's looking good for the Vols.

That's why you don't stop recruiting. How did we get Dobbs? He was all but gone to ASU. Bryce Brown a few years back was headed to KSU, but came here. As for Reid, he's built a relationship with Coach Raymond from LSU. But, he's not a priority for them. With us, he's a priority, that's why the sudden swing in our favor. We got in late with him, and have really showed him we need him.
