'17 FL OLB Shanon Reid (UT Committ 12/7/2016)

Not sure why you'd wanna go to LSU and listen to coach O's voice all the time. It's all I can do to watch a single interview. So damn annoying

Understand your point on Coach O.

However......have ya listened to a Butch Jones presser lately?

"For Wednesday all eyes will be on linebacker Shannon Reid. The Fort Myers, Florida prospect is expected to make a decision between Tennessee and LSU Wednesday afternoon. Tennessee head coach Butch Jones was with Reid on Monday. Tuesday evening, everything pointed to the Vols and not the Tigers carrying all the momentum into his Wednesday announcement."

Trey was huge can't get any better than that but this recruit is as huge just because of the position of need. This is turning out to be one of the most important weeks of recruiting for us.

What's wrong with the way he talks? Everyone talks like that down here.

I don't know where you are from but my entire family is from the Louisiana countryside and no one talks like that except for maybe some hillbilly who never made it past the second grade while hunting gators for a living. The man has spent his entire adult life away from the Bayou. There is a difference between a strong Southern accent and the way he talks which is sort of like a caveman.

I'm from Baton Rouge. Those accents die out a bit closer to the relatively "metropolitan" areas of the state, but that's def a gulf coast / Cocodrie accent. I think I read the Cookie Monster voice is a product of some childhood condition involving his vocal chords / larynx.

Know next to nothing about this one other than LSU is reportedly no longer pursuing him. Might be at a position of need, but what sort of prospect is he? 3 star project? Solid backup?

Haha spot on! I like hearing the accents personally.

I wonder why Murphy isnt a composite 4 star on 24/7? 24/7 and Rivals both have him as a 4 star. Wrong thread I know and this will be the extent of my feels about stars this year.
