If LSU wins a championship and his play continues, especially if he makes a significant play against Bama, I can pretty much assure you people will rank him above EB. Might as well get used to it.

Oh I couldn't care less if he is crowned or not I'm just being real... He's not on berry's level quite yet IMO... Can he get there sure he can but he still has some working to do to get to that level... GO LSU Roll Tide

You're being a homer dude...the LSU kid is a baller, and unlike EB his team is in contention for a NC, and he's making game-changing plays in every game.

Every week this kid is either forcing a TO or scoring a TD...or both. His ball skills are incredible.

As far as a ball magnet, I have never seen anything like Mathieu, basically every game he has a big play. Even last year as a backup he made play after play. Considering he is basically 6 games into his 2nd year and he has already broken FF forced and recoveries at LSU and he didn't even really start last year.

I don't compare him to any player as I thought Peterson was a physical freak at CB, this guy is just on another level... the ball just finds him.

Very true. In regards to his balls skills, the only other player that reminds me of him is Troy Polamalu. He is literally everywhere.

Very true. I watched him the 1st game last year and I was just blown away, he is just always there... you just can't teach what he has.

next week against aub is our biggest game yet imo gotta start frickin tackling to beat aub and uga cant let them run it down our throats like the last 2 weeks

For me personally this season comes down to beating UGA and FSU.

Anything more than that is gravy.
