I like it makes the D more versatile! 11 guys that are 230 and can run a 4.5!

Page, Bembry, Burman, Wooten, Henderson, Gray, Marchiol all are either committed or sound like heavy leans. And yes I know Bembry probably ends up at DE.

"John and I are both just leaving Newton HS after meeting with both Henderson and Holloman.

First off, they both talked about wanting to play together and about being friends since they were young. Tennessee is the only team both of them have in their top three at this point. Holloman has Georgia, Tennessee and Auburn in his top group while Henderson has Tennessee, Virginia and LSU. Tennessee is the clear leader for Henderson at this point.

I think Holloman is very interested in all three schools he's talking to. He plans on visiting those schools this summer again.

They both said they don't have an official timetable, but they hinted it could come soon. They will be making an announcement together whenever they do something. But, they weren't ready to talk specifics."

I can not believe this was posted almost 6 hrs ago, and this thread has not gotten more replies then it has. I am ready for them to commit to Tn and get the ball rolling with some other guys too. GBO

Didn't someone say Holloman is also close with Gibbs and that getting him could help there as well?

Piece from mid-March...

Henderson is a big fish in a small pond and wants to be remembered as a guy who left Covington and made something of himself. Beyond football though, he sees himself as someone people can go to if they have a problem or they’re upset about something.

“If I couldn’t play football, my hobby would be helping people. I like to help people and it’s just the type of personality I have. If I’m around people and their having a bad day, I could make them smile. I’d like to be a counselor to help people with depression or if they just need someone to talk to,” he said.

Newton High School’s head football coach Terrance Banks said that Henderson is now a complete player coming into his senior year, is a leader who works hard in every aspect and college coaches that Banks has spoken to love Henderson’s motor, speed and the way he attacks the game 100 percent all of the time. They also like how he is a "yes sir" and "no sir" kind of guy.

Jaquan Henderson’s family pushes him to be great

"Hearing Wooten is likely to Auburn at this point as well.

I think Henderson has become a bigger priority than Marchiol at this point."

Does this mean that Marchiol isn't a take or just that we're recruiting Henderson harder?

Callahan said the same thing in today's 247 chat, said that SM has gone quiet and RC is not sure how high up the list he is on TN's LB chart

I think it's become abundantly clear that our staff values speed and flexibility at LB above all else.

It's posts like this (Fortenberry) that really leaves me wondering how inside these guys are for ALL recruiting. Marichol is a top recruit. Why would our staff not make him a priority? That's dumb. This kid is everyone's priority. Have you seen his offer list?

For this reason, I am out.

....til next week. FML.

Well I just got around to watching his junior highlights and I'm very impressed. I love this kid! He looks a little on the small side but he's great in open space. He kind of reminds me a little of JRM but that's jmo.
