I'd rather do that than act like it's funny to continue to come up empty on top recruits.

I think Butch being on the hot seat is not helping with big time recruits. No I'm not in a meltdown mode , I never thought this kid would end up in Knoxville.
The fence around the state never got put up. Butch is in trouble and kids see this or they just don't want to play for him.

In state kid, hired sister, surrounded by some of the most hardcore UT faithful his entire life. That would have been more shocking if he lost him than got him.

Outside of TN kids and legacies Butch hasn't beaten anyone for big time recruits. JG maybe but his ties with his dad had a factor their.

He has beaten schools for big time recruits, whether they panned out is another story.

Losing off the field - how many big time in state prospects did we miss out on this year?
It's not just Akers as an out of state big fish. It's a lot of swing and miss.
