Not sure the North school connection will help the case too much as long as Z is here.north wasn't a fan

So, what happened between North and Coach Azzani between his freshman year and the rest of his career. Weren't the injuries the major issue? And let me say, I'm no Azzani apologist. I just don't see how the receiving issues were all on Azzani.

Oh I agree. I'd imagine North didn't leave UT feeling great about his experience. I know he's been hurt, but for a top 5 WR he just never materialized under CZA. Truth is none of our WRs have. Passing game has struggled since Butch was hired and brought CZA in.

I also wasn't only mentioning flip possible with UT. Just a candidate for a lot of schools if UNC takes a step back.

Not to mention Jones is originally from Ardrey Kell and only just transferred to Mallard Creek.

Meh, the 2017 class in NC is nothing like the 2016, or the 2015 for that matter. Foster is the only player that is a 5 star and is one of the best in the nation at any position. Kid is a beast and I hope we get him badly. Gibson is the only other player I really really want. He will be a very good OL at the next level.

The passing game has struggled because we have had Justin Worely and Josh Dabbs at QB. Worley was not an SEC level qb, and Dobbs certainly not above a good passer. Add to it that our OL was very bad two seasons ago and geez. Can't all be blamed on Jones and Azzani. And listen I love North, but he has had injury problems his entire career. Someone speculated yesterday that some of it could be due to his extremely low body fat, which often can cause injuries. Makes sense.

Our passing game has struggled mostly due to sub par offensive line play. It got better the second half of last season and should be much better this year.

I am sure that in 2014 and the first half of 2015, the OL had some protection problems, however our qb had all sorts of problems in his passing accuracy during practice and during games. He also had difficulty in locating open receivers during games when not pressured. Fact is, he must improve his passing accuracy and finding the open receiver beyond 15 yards past the line of schrimmage.

four-star wide receiver ryan jones (charlotte, n.c./mallard creek) committed to north carolina february 5. Jones said he still hears from virginia tech, georgia and tennessee.

He said he doesn’t have any plans to visit anywhere but unc as he’s a solid commit. He said if unc didn’t offer he was going to tennessee but admitted he’s been visiting chapel hill “since the third grade” and likes the home feel.

UNC WR commit Ryan Jones said he's still hearing from Tennessee pretty regularly, and the Vols finished second to UNC when he announced his decision. He's currently planning to take all five of his official visits, and he said Tennessee will get one of them. He said he's also hoping to visit Tennessee soon – perhaps within the next few weeks.

If we end up taking T.J. Moore, and with our current predicament with WR recruiting, I wonder if this will be a name that resurfaces?

Never know but if I'm slow played for like 7 months, not sure I'd even answer the call.

He said a little over a month ago that he was still hearing from UT. Maybe he actually just wanted to be at UNC and we aren't slow playing him? But nahhhhh that couldn't be it. We slow play everyone that has four or more stars or happens to be from the state of Tennessee.

The slow playing idea seemed to be the consensus months ago when he chose UNC. Maybe it wasn't the case. Miss on Tee and he's a sudden need might point to slow play all along.
