'17 NC DE Matthew Butler (UT Signee)

The composite is not worthless in my opinion & that's what we all like to share but I'm not going into any detail as to why it is important to me. Others have the same opinion as I because we've discussed this before. I know I'm not alone on this. Thanks!

You're right. The composite ranking takes the value of the four major recruiting sites and gives you a median output. The 247composite is the most accurate analysis of a player you can get, in my opinion

I'm not trying to sound smart but I know what 247 Sports composite is all about. And, I do agree with you that it's the most accurate analysis of any recruit/player.

Do you guys think Shoop targets taller DT's? I had always thought short and stalky was ideal stature for a tackle but with Nassib, Kongbo, and now Butler, it seems like he prefers a guy with length. If you look around the NFL, there really aren't any elite tackles taller than 6'-1"....just seems strange to me considering leverage is key.

And yes, I realize Big John Henderson and Albert Haynesworth were very successful DT's, but they had huge, wide frames....the guys listed above seem to be rather slim comparably.

247 composite in all actuality is the least accurate of any of them for the simple reason that it is an average of 4 sites opinions. I personally use 247's score (not composite), because that is the one that I feel most closely represents my thoughts on recruits.

Doesn't make them right or wrong, just the closest to what I feel.

ESPN blows as well. 247 is about the best one.

Thats my problem with the composite is that at least one out of the four hoses just about every recruit if i had to choose id say 247 and rivals are the most accurate. Just my opinion, gracias!

Great point I agree

Every one of them has hosed a Vols recruit. The composite make the consensus couple up. :)

He likes DTs that can move and be disruptive.
