'17 NC OL TJ Moore (former USCe commit)

This is what happens when you pick your nose too hard. No wonder the kid de-committed.

Next year:

RT: Hall JR /Richmond RS Soph
RG: Jones JR /Boulware RS Soph
C: Thomas SR /Jones JR
LG: Robertson SR /Mosley RS JR
LT: Kendrick RS SR /Trey Smith FR

That leaves us with Ryan Johnson, Marcus Tatum, Nathan Niehaus and Austin Sanders who are notable. In addition to this, so far we have Riley Locklear and Jordan Tucker committed (3 star guys) that fit more of the tackle mold. We need some guards and centers to sign this year badly. Getting TJ moore would be a great pick up.

I think Locklear is another of those guys who could play tackle but probably projects better as an inside guy. He actually said that we tried him at center when he camped here over the summer and that the coaches were impressed with him there.

I also wonder if a guy like Tucker or Johnson might end up being a jumbo guard.

Is it possible we see Hall slide over to Lt with Tatum and Richmond battling for Rt next fall?

I think you want a mauler at RT. Chance is one and I think Niehaus projects as such...keeping the seat warm for Cade Mays. :)

If Richmond doesn't start, I would've thought he'd transfer given all of the hype he received.

...Course, we did keep Sheriron Jones from transferring so who knows.

I wouldn't count out Richmond potentially sliding inside to LG before his career is over either. Especially if Neihaus, Tatum, and Johnson turn out to be as good as many believe they will be.

I went to school with a guy who coaches high school here in town (Memphis). His team scrimmaged against Richmond before his senior year, and he told me that he would not be surprised if he played guard in college. This was before Richmond signed. He said he had good skills but just wasn't sure he could play tackle in college.

I feel like this was the sentiment from a lot of people when he came out of high school. At least from what I can remember.

I think there was a lot of unfair pressure on him to be this amazing LT especially since he didn't even play that position in high school. Moving him to guard would be awesome since it seems like we're going to have a surplus of tackles in the coming years (Kendrick, Hall, Tatum, Niehaus, Johnson, Tucker, and Mayes and Smith (most likely)). Thinking about this position still makes me scratch my head about Blair haha

Raw. Had the physical skills but needed some work. Also needed a mean streak because he could get away with his talent in high school.

Some suggested him starting his true freshman year, and I knew we were in trouble if that happened.

Any commitments soon?

"We will see. I think TJ Moore is interesting that right after backing off his commitment he's expected in. Plus, and I didn't know this until today, he hasn't visited South Carolina this season for a game. So, the Tennessee game will be his first game visit this season. Really interesting."

Let's see some predictions/Crystal Ball's as to where Moore commits now? I would have to think we would be right up there.

I think Louisville is another school that's a factor along with UNC. That's my top 3 for him. I sure hope he decides to pick us though. :)

Vol lock.

Do not sleep on J. Drake either, has a pretty good offer list and in town this week. You can not coach 6 ft 6 315

Although you can't teach size, Tucker was very much a developmental prospect. Don't think anyone saw him as an immediate contributor. Really good potential however.

tucker was dominating this yr at Roswell. Ive seen him twice. Hes gonna be a really good player wherever he goes.
