My son participated in the same group with Jones at the camp. He was the class of the camp...but did not overwhelm you.

So you are saying the Qbs they had at camp not that great? I was hoping they would have a better group to evaluate.

Well how did your son do since you obviously don't think highly of Will Jones or the other QB from Connecticut?

This was the first year that I've seen the "invitees" mixed in with the attendees who were there for an instructional camp. They are usually off in a separate group being evaluated. You can always tell the ones they are looking at....they are known by first names, the parents are handled differently etc.

This camp did not have a very strong group of invitees...no.

He did fine...it was his third camp this week.

He's not a D1 athlete and knows it. He's just a local QB trying to get better and competing for a starting job this year.

Will looked good...best QB of the group to me. The kid from CT looked like a receiver trying to play QB.

Thanks for the update. It does suck that it's looking more like we won't take a QB in this class, seeing as how HJ gave us the shaft (For some reason) & it's slim pickings, now.

We are still in it on Sears and he's doing pretty good at the Elite 11 last I saw

If we can't get Sears then I hope we take this guy. Think he would provide solid depth and competition for us

everyone thinks he is trending heavily towards UCLA

Yep. I know it's preferable to take a QB in every class but I don't think it'll hurt us by not taking one this class. We will have redshirt freshman next year and the following year. I think our QB situation is in good shape, regardless of this recruiting cycle!

Agree. But we can't afford a miss next year. Thats a big reason why it's preferable as you mentioned. I'm sure we'll grab two if nothing this year.

If we are going ro run the spread offense, then why are we looking at pro style QB's? Why are these kids even considering UT? I hate to waste another kid like Dormady when you are not even going to use them. Not good for the program or the kid.
