'17 TN ATH Amari Rodgers (Clemson commit)

He's bringing up the lawsuit

Which I doubt he has much understanding of. But that's where the coaches need to step in and give actual information to combat the probable half truths of a teenager worried that his in state friends will end up in Knoxville while he is all alone at Clemson.

3 years of past performance says otherwise. It's pretty naive to think a kid the same age as other kids we are actively recruiting couldn't somewhat influence some opinions regarding the program. Not to mention, it's coming from the son of a former QB that won a National Championship here. I don't think it is nothing that can't be overcome by the staff. Personally, I'd keep the little midget and his butthurt daddy off campus. But that's just me.

Good thing ungrateful dumb*** fans don't make decisions.

Maybe if he was Kanye. He is a 17 year old punk wide receiver who shares a baby momma with said QB not even a last name. There should literally be 0% negative influence if anything it should sway anybody who listens to him to UT to show him up.

In and of itself I agree. But this lawsuit hanging around adds a little bit of discomfort to the equation. From what's being said on TOS, a lot of these guys are taking a wait and see approach. Most of the instate guys love it here. A strong showing on the field this season would go a long way to silence the gibberish being spread by those in dark corners.

Poster said it came from a coach that he was spreading anti UT 'stuff' and it was having a negative impact on recruiting.

Looks like somebody may need to put in a call to Guido to put a stop to this.

Clemson is a big proponent of when you commit to them you better not visit any schools or talk good about other schools

Cmon man I thought you were on our side of this lawsuit bs? What has happened to you?

This reminds me of a tale from two years ago. I believe another in-state recruit was accused of negatively recruiting against Tennessee. Then, none of his buddies wanted to follow him to his flash in a pan out of state school. Can anyone inform me where he spends his fall Saturdays?

I was. Still am. I believe firmly that the whole lawsuit bs is nothing more than a pathetic attempt at a money grab. I believe when the dust settles the plaintiffs and their ambulance chasing lawyers will look like fools. I also believe that Butch and company should be able to deflect any bad press from tabloid level papers such as the Tennesseean and KNS which is nothing more than mouthpieces for the plaintiffs.

That being said a trouble making local kid thrown on top of the negative local and state press will cause some who don't actively pursue the facts of this case cause for concern. My shift in thinking is based on a fairly reputable poster on TOS with a solid track record. He also feels it's better this is going on now as opposed to closer to NSD. A positive outcome in AJs case would be another fatal blow in the frivolous lawsuit as well.

Bottom line, I feel a good year on the field will equal a top 5-10 ranking in recruiting.

Kid wants to play in the B=League against B-league teams then let him..The ACC will never be on par with the SEC so go and play for Clemson for 4 years and good luck!.;;
got a feeling you will regret that choice one day but its yours to make..We are Tennessee and we will always have great talent.

What are we supposed to be grateful to his dad for? He took money while he was here and was very open about it. He did a job and got paid for it. He's made little to no effort to be a VFL since then. If you think he and his spawn should be given carte Blanche treatment while Junior is bad mouthing the program.....then you're the dumbass.

Hunter Johnson is negatively recruiting against UT, too. Recruits who aren't committed to the Vols aren't going to be singing our praises.

These kids don't care about a Title IX lawsuit that has nothing to do with them. By NSD, it won't be old news; it will be ancient.
