De1Conley is his name....lol - De1 Conley

De1 is just a cool way of spelling it.....without spelling it.

There's a guy, "Big Will", who calls into Swain's program a lot, runs a lot of camps in the midstate and East Tennessee, usually provides good insight to certain players they work with. I was just trying to add 2 + 2 to see if it added up to 4. Was wondering if he might be De1Conley since De1 recently mentioned in a post that he calls Swain's show. That's all.

I knew what you meant. Was just saying that his screen name is in fact his real name....just a play on the spelling of his first name.

I've been by his place of business several times, but being bald, haven't had a reason to stop. Now, if he comes in here and says there's nothing but football talk going on in there all the time, maybe I'll stop by and take up some chair space and listen to the talk/gossip.

Had a god day on DL but had an excellent day at OG. Neer lost a rep on OL. I'm telling you all this kid can write gis own chk but he has to decide if he wants it bad enough. But we preach domination has to be 10/10 not 8/10 or so on.

we need to be recruiting DT heavily. Anyone know if this guy is a legit option?

That would be a really big mistake IMO. We need more depth at that spot in the worst possible way.

Eh, I mean you have 8 or 9 guys on the depth chart at DT for next season if you count the 2 current commits.

K Vickers (RS SR)
A Johnson (RS JR)
C Mosley (RS JR) - this assuming he stays at DT and doesn't move back to OL
S Tuttle (JR) - may miss portion of season due to late leg injury in 2016
K McKenzie (JR) - should be back by summer after torn pec
Q Picou (JR)
A Butcher (RS SO)
E Crosby (FR)
K Bennett (FR)

And this of course doesn't include guys like Mixon, Phillips, or Kongbo, who could in theory move over in the offseason. I think the staff definitely wants to add another DT, but I don't think it's likely we add one that will be ready to contribute next fall, anyways. All JMO.

Edit: I got Kristy'd.

We just have to make sure they all don't get injured or kicked off the team, then we will be golden.

Taking 2 would put us at 8/9 for next year. That's plenty. We have to fill the other position needs.

I don't see the numbers you're coming up with unless you're counting guys that seem like a stretch to me. Also, think of the distribution by class. We have a group of upperclassmen that could be very good in 2017 if everything pans out, but the cupboard is bare behind them.

Upperclassmen
Senior - Vickers
RS juniors - Johnson and Kongbo (that's assuming that Johnson get the RS, Kongbo moves to DT and that both of these guys stick around...some of these are big "ifs" IMO)
Juniors - Tuttle, McKenzie, and Picou

Underclassmen
Whoever we sign this year and Andrew Butcher.

That's 6 upperclassmen, and several of them have question marks around them. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Johnson and Kongbo move on for whatever reason. Tuttle can't catch a break (no pun intended) with his health, and him and McKenzie could both go pro early with a breakout year in 2017. I seriously doubt Picou is ever going to be a quality DT at the SEC level.

What else do we have? Maybe Phillips moves to DT? That would probably be a project. The VN legend Paul Bain? I'm highly skeptical. Does Mosely move over full-time from the OL? He already flamed out at DT once. Butcher? He hasn't been able to stay healthy or crack the depth chart in the 2 years he's been here.

When I look at that list I see a lot more questions than answers. Not taking a a single HS DT last year was a really bad move IMO. If we don't make up for it with numbers and quality this year we'll probably pay a heavy price for it in 2018 and/or 2019 and beyond.

We already paid for it this year IMO. Tuttle may miss the whole season, Bennett will likely redshirt (very young for his grade), etc., etc.

I still think we need two more guys that project to play DT and we feel can play next year - don't like the experiment of playing undersized guys at DT out of desperation.

I'm guessing if Tre Lawson sticks he will be a DT. We may go 1 more, 3-4 per class isn't bad.

The 2 legit SEC DTs being whom? If you're leaving Vickers out, that's disrespectful. He's been an average SEC DT and still has one more year to better prove himself

Even though we have little depth next year, Kongo isnt moving inside the only reason he was asked this year is because we actually ran out of bodies.

right, and we are losing some good players at DE this year so he should be moving back to his more natural position.
