'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

Those things offer no more proof than simply saying "I want to believe he is choosing us". The kid grew up an Alabama fan, which counters pretty much everything on your list. My brother has done a lot of things, but that doesn't mean I'm doing them. Some people just want to believe so strongly that they abandon reality and assign talking points that support their believe, and not talking points that support what is actually likely to happen.

This kid may very well choose UT but I'm betting it's not because of any of those things you listed. It's going to be based on which program gets him to the NFL the fastest and with the most positive exposure (like not being constantly embarrassed).

Different players choose different schools for different reasons. What it comes down to a lot of times, is where they feel most comfortable. Which place feels most like home. The NFL factor should not be ignored, but a lot of these kids think that they're good enough to make the league without going to Bama or some other high level program. My point is that you have absolutely no freakin' idea what is motivating him to make his choice any more than anybody else does. I personally think it is more likely that he wants to be near his sister who helped raise him, but maybe that's just me.

Apologies if you read my post as confirmation.

I don't know anything here outside that some Moran in bama-land thinks he's going elsewhere

Whats a Moran? Is that the same as moron? You figure if you were going to call someone a name indicating they are stupid, you would at least be able to spell it.

Uhhh... Ooooo kaaaayyyyy. I mean that's how I make every professional decision in my life. I check what my siblings are doing. Butch is a great recruiter but Alabama and Ohio State crush our recruiting. Also, all those kids that grew up in Michigan that played for OSU and all those kids that grew up in Ohio that played for Michigan must have missed your recruiting playbook of facts.

The fact that you believe that all players would approach their recruitment in the same way that you would simply illustrates how narrow-minded you are.
