'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

Please stop quoting it. He repeats the same lines over and over again yet people still find it necessary to respond. Like your argument is gonna be the one to show him the light. You're just giving him what he wants.

I agree losing all this in state talent is horrible but keep in mind it's July. After we win big this year this class will get much much better

You know who think recruits are bought? Sore, pathetic losers who can't come to grips with the fact that sometimes a kid needs a change of scenery. Good grief the IQ level on this forum is dropping faster than Oprah down a water slide.

Did something new happen to make everyone feel we're on a negative trend with Trey Smith or is this just another "we stink at instate recruiting this year" in general discussion that oozed it's way into the Trey Smith thread?

If you look at the trend you'd understand why

Maybe you should get your head out of the sand and realize that many football players are paid money. Just look at the history of Alabama Miami, Auburn, USC etc. Ga paid a mother of a running back in Ga $10,000 in cash way back in the 1980s and he signed with South Carolina . Players were getting "benefits" when I was in college in 1956 and it has continued through today. You know who doesn't think they get "benefits? Those who are uneducated about collage football and how things work. You may be at the head of that list. Last year, a freshman at Miami was driving a new Lamborghini. I guess he bought it by mowing lawns on weekends.

I think you are missing the "open participation" part of our endeavor here. Other than that, great job!

But I guess that openness leaves plenty of room for smugness and the amusing need to block people out of the club house. You and the "plenty of people" can try to build your wall and make the ff pay for it, I guess

Once again, you've proven your lack of understanding while feebly trying to put me in my place. How is it that I'm missing the "open participation" part of this endeavor? Are you not "openly participating"? Am I not "openly" responding back to you? Do people not come into these threads and "openly post"? In turn, do others not "openly" respond and yes even "openly" ridicule stupid posts.

There is no wall between the FF and the RF. What you fail to understand is we all either came over here from the FF or we lurked long enough, that when we decided to start accounts (having read through both forums), this is where we came to. There are plenty of people that come over here from the FF that are good/great posters.

While I'm sure it is appreciated by some that you have chosen to become the champion of the weak of mind and heart, If you continue to choose to be such, you should understand one thing. Your battle plan of trying to belittle people for not letting others say what they want is nothing more than what you accuse those you are belittling of. According to you, we should allow others to say what they want/feel, but we in turn should do/say nothing in response. That isn't going to happen.

Ignorance is fine and is fixable by anyone who chooses to do something about it. As ignorance is nothing more than a lack of knowledge, taking the time to learn or gain that knowledge if you will, will fix that. In the immortal words of Ron White though, "You can't fix stupid". In those cases, I like to take the time to ask those folks to kindly move on. In this world of "Open Participation", that you are so addimately defending, is that not well within my rights? Or, are you trying to exclude me from that?

:hi:

He's a 5 star on ESPN, which makes sense since they're the recruiting service that has him as the #1 overall prospect. Rivals and 247 are the sites that have him as a 4 star.

It was a Bentley, but your point remains.
