'17 TN RB Cordarrian Richardson (Clemson commit)

Acres? We talking real estate or football recruits? Why is so difficult to correctly spell recruits names and be diligent on here. People want to discuss topics but can't even get the guys names correctly. It's baffling.

Just guessing, but some folks use a spell check, and it screws up names. No wonder kids in a spelling bee get on TV nowadays. We have gone from praising Einstein, Mozart, and Shakespeare to kids who can spell correctly.

He will likely qualify at Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, FSU, and Clemson.

Said it a few months back, this kid isn't going to qualify, anywhere. Buddy of mine coaches at a HS in Memphis. Said they had to doctor this kids grades to get him to "stupid" level. He's JUCO all the way.

That's mean as hell but I laughed way too hard at this.

I remember back in the mid 70s there was a kid in Chattanooga named Reggae Mathis. He was a great player but academically challenged. My dad was in the Big Orange club and the Vols were recruiting him hard till the grade issues surfaced. My dad said you could have multiplied his 3 ACT tries together and he wouldn't have passed. Went to JC and ended up at Oklahoma. Played pro a few years too.

SR year. He was/is a good guy. He really liked KY (of all places) and Sonny Collins came to one of Reggie's basketball games along with the KY coach (Fran Curci, I think). Reggie was one hell of an athlete, and would have been a Vol if everything had worked out.

I'm not sure how referencing anyone as being "stupid" is remotely funny at all!! Especially a kid.

The kid had two choices , he could have choice to work hard and make good enough grades or don't and before anybody says it's a bad area or surroundings, I guarantee there are kids at that school that make good grades that live in the same area.

Disclaimer: If this kid has a true learning disability that has went undiagnosed then I take back what I said .

Wouldn't have passed the ACT?

Makes sense. There is very little in the way of academics going on at OU.

Yep really no excuse beyond learning disabilities. Kid has known for 2-3 years he had this opportunity and others have told him countless time. Some kids don't listen until it's too late. Had a kid in my HS days that had FSU and Michigan dying to get him but he never went to class and had a 1.9 GpA. Walked in on principal begging him to just go to class and people will help him make it but they can't if you won't go to class. It's simple for these kids show up to class and turn on the work. You will pass

That would give them 3 star freshmen RB's. Cook, Akers, & Richardson. Don't think so.

I was joking Tony. This kid will likely be a Community College lean somewhere unless someone else does him another disservice and pencil whips his grades again.

So any word on the Memphis RB that decomitt from Clemson? Can't spell the name sorry. But would love to add him with Chandler this yr. Does the VOLS have a shoot?

Callahan:

Cordarrian Richardson has some academic issues, and a lot of people think he's going to end up going the juco route. Tennessee really wasn't heavily involved with him the first time around, so I'm not sure the Vols would have jumped in there, anyway. But I don't see anything happening right now, with academics being a major concern.
