'17 TN RB Ty Chandler (UT signee)

I agree Biker because to much could effect his speed and movement. I haven't really seen his frame to really tell how much weight he could take on. But I do agree that another 15-20 lbs would prepare him for SEC play.

Very similar to Kamara I believe. AK is 5'10" 215. Chandler is 5'11". I may be wrong on their builds, but it seems like they are similar.

You think he has the same type burst of speed like Kamera? If so would complement Kelly really nicely.

He appears to have. Have to wait and see if that translates to college though.

Just what little we've gotten to see of Lewis this season, I'm not leaving him out for possibly seeing snaps next year either. Young man has some skills of his own. Rolled off a nice 12 yard run against KY on Saturday.

Yes hopefully Lewis will be a pleasant surprise next year. RB will be our strength along with our QB I believe. If Malone stays with JJ gives us a solid WR based along with Byrd unless they put him on D side.

If you like Kelly now (who doesn't?!), you will love Chandler after a year in the system with Gillespie and the S&C. He has the extra gear in the open field - Chuck Webb like.

I realize it was against TTU, but that 73 yd TD run was really a thing of beauty. I've probably watched that one play a dozen times or more. I love seeing a running back cranking his arms and churning his legs the way Kelly does. 100% effort.

I love watching Kelly run. He has so much heart and fight, you can't help but love the guy. I say he will be one of the captains because of his leadership through hard work everyday. You got to love a guy like Kelly. We need a lot more with his attitude on the team.

Alright Ty Chandler is really good. Glad he's onboard. I'm calling it.... next Chuck Webb

Boom

Oh no you didn't...I know what your saying though..when I first saw this kids film, the similarities jumped out at me. I posted that in here a few months back. Since I think Chuck Webb is the best ever Tennessee RB..that is a mouthful.

You and I are always ready to cap a fool for pulling that.

I'm strapped, son, and I keep the safety off

Yep..me too. It is like UGA fans saying some HS recruit is the next Hershel Walker, or Awbarn saying he is the next Bo Jackson. That is just crazy talk...BUT...I have to say, this kid looks a lot like Chuck in the way he moves and runs.

Ty has a chance to be great and among the best at UT. I know folks like to compare kids to the greats at this school or that school but I say we let Ty come to UT, run wild on the SEC, and then we can judge his legacy after he has gone to the NFL to make a lot of money. Let Chuck be Chuck and let Ty be Ty.

Assuming the S&C is better than it is now. Of course, this style it may be more beneficial to skill position players than those in the trenches.
