'17 VA ATH Brandon Gaddy (UT commit 7/19/16)

Anyone know if this guy will play defense for Bishop Sullivan this year? All of his film is him playing TE, QB, RB, FB, H-Back heck everything but defense. I even watched his brothers film and I never saw him on that side of the ball. Just curious if anyone is in the know.. If not still feel free to bull sh*t like you are in the know.

Brandon, has been the consummate utility man for the Crusaders since transferring from Booker T. Washington. An all-state selection last season, Gaddy has seen a bump in his recruitment during the off season. Currently, the 19th ranked defensive tackle in the state and 49th in the nation according to 247 Sports, it remains to be seen which position the Tennessee coaching staff. For the Crusaders, he’s seen time at quarterback, tight end and defensive lineman. He traveled with Bishop Sullivan this past weekend and played receiver for the Crusaders’ 7-on-7 team at the Powerade 7-on-7 Invitational in Charlotte.

Great, another talent for Z to waste!

He'll still play all over the place some but he'll more than likely feature on the DL, as expected.

VN will finally get their crazy positional move dream with this kid. We are taking a WR and making him a DT. Maybe we can stop talking about a RB that should be a TE, now.

DL probably. I'd likely give him a look at OT as well. If he's 6'5-6'6 285ish and can play RB and TE, sounds like the athletic type we like at OT.

No way he is a TE at this level. OL or DL

We've all seen short yardage formations with an extra OT playing TE right? Wouldn't that formation be even better if there was a legit threat of the TE catching a pass in that situation?

Like yourself I don't see him as an every down TE, but I could envision the situation where he could make a contribution there.

Side note, Bishop Sullivan is looking like a program to maintain great ties with. One of my former HS classmates has a son who's a FR at Bishop Sullivan this year and already has a VT offer. He's a LB who's already 6'1 210. His dad was about 5'10 175 in HS but mom was on the taller side for a girl so I guess that's where he's getting his size. It'll be fun to see how he progresses through the years.

Fuster?

Yes sir. His dad was 2 yrs ahead of me in school and a former x-country teammate of mine.

Figured that had to be who you were talking about, I remember reading the article after he got the Tech offer following the camp.

They've got a DL, a few CBs, and a LB in that class that already have at least one major program offer. Most of the them are from Tech and/or UVA but Sheridan Jones is one of the CBs and he already has 5 offers, two of which are us and UF, all before his first game this Friday night. They are going to be the premier program in the area for the foreseeable future.
