If he commits, Boom! Sure WV doesn't produce a lot of talent, but look at how many we offer. The fact that he is one of the very few we have offered over the past few years says something. He can play football.

If we took 4 OL and two of them were from WV I would be very pleased. Doesn't mean I know anything about recruiting, but from I can tell, I like Ross and Locklear.

Locklear, a three-star prospect, has emerged as a high-priority target for Tennessee over the past few months, and he appears to be moving closer to a decision following his recent trips to Tennessee and Florida State. He told GoVols247 following his visit June 6 for one of the Vols’ camps that he planned to make his college choice “before my senior season,” and perhaps by early July. The Vols and Seminoles are believed to be the two favorites to land Locklear, and the 247Sports Crystal Ball still points to Florida State as the favorite to land him. But Tennessee has made a big impression on him during his two trips to Knoxville since late March, and some believe the Vols have built some momentum with him since his latest visit to Tennessee earlier this month.

More from Callahan "I haven't gotten that impression about Locklear getting really excited about every visit. I'm not sure where you would have gotten that, unless it was from the Crystal Ball picks we've seen for Locklear. He hasn't named a leader at any point, to my knowledge, and he was even hesitant to name his top three when I spoke with him about three weeks ago. But I definitely think it's a UT-FSU battle right now. Florida State was the favorite at one point, but I think Tennessee has made a move.

Underrated might not be the right word, but I do think he's probably higher on Tennessee's board — and Florida State's, for that matter — than his rating might suggest. He's a good player, IMO."

Staying in the Mountaineer state with offensive lineman Riley Locklear. Things have went quiet for Locklear since his recent visit to Knoxville and Tallahassee. We believe this is a FSU and Tennessee battle and Locklear had good dialogue with Tennessee earlier this week. Florida State is one to watch due their history in West Virginia, but it's clear that Locklear likes the Vols and offensive line coach Don Mahoney.

That time frame seems to be passing and he has slowed things down after a visit to Florida State. It's our belief that he loves several things about the Seminoles and people we have spoken to say the FSU staff put the full court press on to get him on board, but came up empty. What does that mean for Tennessee? He did confirm for us on Thursday that he plans on making a return trip to Knoxville sometime later this month."

Very possible they talk. I think FSU is in the drivers seat with Locklear. I wouldn't mind it a bit if we got him. I'm holding to my thinking if it's Locklear or McKenzie and Jalen is healthy, I'm taking him. I can't see taking more than 3 on the OL this year.

This is pretty big. Great offer list and FSU was thought to have been in the lead only a couple of weeks ago after he visited.

Probably won't hurt having him in Ross's ear.
