I wouldnt say its much of a surprise. I think I can play at this level, said Justice, whos ranked the nations No. 602 overall prospect and No. 50 athlete in the 247Sports Composite for the 2018 class. I was just super excited. Its a real blessing. To get these huge programs, its crazy.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Justice said he first heard from Tennessee coach Butch Jones staff maybe a month and a half ago, two months ago, but hadnt talked to them since until he learned of his offer from the Vols this week.
He said hes not sure yet whether he will visit Tennessee, but he admitted hes intrigued by the Vols and the opportunity to play in the SEC.
They definitely piqued my interest, said Justice, whos being recruited by most teams, including Tennessee, as a likely wide receiver. The SEC in general, its obviously one of the best conferences, so I would definitely have them up there in consideration.
Ive seen a few of their games. I liked their quarterback last year, Josh Dobbs. I think he was pretty good, so I watched a few games. But I dont know too much about it. I know they have a good program down there.
Justice, who also plays quarterback at St. Augustine, hasnt spent his entire life in California. He said he also has lived in Cincinnati, New York and Dallas, where he spent approximately eight years, and geography will not so much be a factor in the college he decides to attend.
I was probably a (Texas) Longhorns fan, Justice said. That was probably my favorite growing up.
But Justice admitted hes high on USC, which already has hosted him on multiple visits, and he was excited to get an offer from the Trojans almost a month ago.
